Description

My recently refurbished apartment is located on the very edge of the famous Alfama area of Lisbon and, as my business is furniture restoration, is furnished with traditional antique pieces .

Alfama bristles with small shops, bars and restaurants where you will be entertained by male and female Fado singers.

Most "must see" Lisbon sites are within an easy 5/15 minute walk and should you want to explore further the trains ,buses and Metro are moments away. A taxi can deliver you right to the door and ,being right behind Casa dos Bicos, a famous landmark, is is easy to find .Much of of Alfama is a maze of narrow cobbled streets inaccessable to vehicles .A taxi from the airport takes 15 minutes and costs around 10 euros.

There are 2 comfortable bedrooms with sunny aspects both have antique double beds. A lounge area with a sofa bed, a bathroom with a shower and tub, toilet and bidet. The kitchenette has a coffee machine, fridge, microwave and the usual cutlery

i live very close and will be there to greet you on arrival and available to arrange bike/scooter hire, customised city tours to suit your needs and interests or even escort you on a Fado evening ! nothing is impossible in Lisboa so please just ask, i want you to have a wonderful time.

what do i need to say about Alfama that you cannot find easily on the internet..it is world famous as the heart of lisbon fado. friendly with fascinating narrow streets and tiny cafes alive day and night. lisbon is beautiful but you could spend a week exploring alfama.you will be just moments away from the daily bussle yet in an area quiet and subdued at night so you can sleep well and awake refreshed to explore another day....

my apartments are so perfectly situated river, only minutes from "downtown", the metro, trains and buses .surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shops, wonderful pastry coffee shops, bars, music and very friendly folks all this and good quality but cheap wine !! but oh! so quiet at night and, like most of portugal, nobody will wake you before 9 am...
