The apartment is located in a quiet street in Bairro Alto, close to the city's ex-libris places: Miradouro de S. Pedro de Alcântara and Jardim do Principe Real. Bairro Alto, is the city's old town area that best matches the typical groceries with the most trendy and chic restaurants; the traditional “tascas” (where you can listen to Fado) with the hip cosmopolitan bars and “casas de petiscos”; the quietness of the gardens and churches with the lively atmosphere of the kiosks and coffee terraces; the best design and antiques shopping with visits to contemporary art museums and galleries. Almost all touristic, historic and cultural places are within walking distance. Nevertheless, the area is very well connected with 3 underground lines, several buses and tramways. The regional trains to Sintra and Cascais are also nearby.
This XIX century apartment with fully refurbished bath and kitchen, has kept the original wooden floors and window shutters, as well as the originally crafted Stuck ceilings. An eclectic decoration style, combining antiques, curiosities and art objects reflects our interests in Photography and Film decoration and design.
With a total of 120 m2, the apartment is best suited for 4 people in order to fully enjoy the space and comfort for all. The flat has a big living room with lots of natural light and with different use possibilities: a corner for reading, listening to music, watching cable TV and another for WiFi surfing, writing, drawing or planning your visit to the city; two bedrooms, one double bed suite with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere given by a translucent Japanese wall and another with two individual beds (that might be turned into a king size bed) with a traditional small balcony window.
The bath is spacious and comfortable with a large bathtub and window. It is directly linked to the suite bedroom, but it also has a separate entrance through the corridor.
The kitchen is spacious and has a small balcony door: a perfect place to prepare your meals and relax in the evening with a glass of wine. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed in the flat with a bottle of Portuguese wine and with our best wishes for a pleasant stay in our beautiful city.

The Estremadura region
Lisbon is known for its famous portuguese weather, you can have sunny days all year round. Thanks to its privileged orientation the sun gets in every street, and you can gaze the river from every corner. It is so near the sea you can get to the beach in 20 minutes for a summer day or a nice walk in the winter. Lovely Sintra village is only 18km away and it is very easy to go there by train (the train station is close-by to the apartment : "Rossio Station"), as well as to Cascais and many other beautiful and historic places.
The apartment is located in the city centre with a wide range of nearby available activities : theaters, museums, botanic garden, shops, typical cafes, restaurants with fresh fish and sea food by the river, fado houses where you can enjoy a pleasant meal listening to the popular portuguese music. Or just seat at an open air cafe enjoying the view of the Lisbon Castle or the Tejo river. You can easily get to the ferry and cross the river (and then Costa da Caparica beach) , or take the train to Cascais (or try Carcavelos beach) . Among many other attractions, there's a new casino and an oceanarium in the Expo area (you can get there by subway or cab).
