Five Star Gold ***** Holiday Accommodation in Lincolnshire, as awarded by Visit England, Barn Cottage offers a stay to be remembered, Winter or Summer. Also check out our newest rental property, Piglet Cottage, holiday lettings ref: No 6187909. Both are situated on the Lincolnshire-Nottinghamshire border, (A57), within easy access to the historic city of Lincoln with its ancient Cathedral and medieval Castle. Come and visit the world famous Magna Carta, circa1215, on show in Lincoln Castle from April 2015. There is the National Trust work house at Southwell. near Nottingham, Grantham, Doddington Hall & Gardens and the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds are all within easy driving distance. The cottage is also close to Robin Hood country in Sherwood Forest where you will find the Major Oak. At Forest Pines you can 'Go Ape' or try the off road mountain biking, great fun for all ages. If you want more for the little ones why not visit the ever popular Sundown Adventure Land for children, only a few miles away. White Post Farm and Rand Park also close. If you enjoy horse racing we are in easy driving distance for Southwell, Market Rasen and Doncaster race tracks, alternatively you may like the horse trials at Burley House. Another attraction is the International Antique Fair at Swinderby, near Newark. The cottages are set within walled, private gardens, with access through electric gates offering secure parking.Barn Cottage is ideal for all age groups wanting that extra comfort and luxury including 'Egyptian' cotton bedding as well as underfloor heating in the lounge for those cold winter days !!The cottage has been converted from old farm stables dating back two hundred years. It has been sympathetically renovated, retaining as many of the original features as possible. Barn Cottage accommodates up to six people . There are three bedrooms, two en suite and one containing a sauna.There is a double and a twin bedroom on the ground floor and a master suite on the first floor consisting of a dressing room, bedroom with a kingsize bed and a large en suite bathroom with free standing bath and shower. Barn cottage also has a private, fenced garden for the little ones trying to escape! For cyclists, golfers fishermen etc. the accommodation provides secure storage.

“Amazing as always”

Our 2nd time at barn cottage and it didn't disappoint. Lovely welcome and extra touches such as wine and chocolates. The barn is as beautiful as we remembered. Everything you could wish for for a relaxing stay. We went to sundown with the kids but will use it again if we are having an adult weekend to shop in Lincoln. A must for anyone who wants stunning accommodation. We will be back.

We had a great stay at Barn Cottage. Beautifully kept gardens and home. Everything you need. Spacious, modern but with great countryside features. Comfy beds, great big soft towels, well equipped kitchen. Great having two bathrooms. Secure parking. Helpful hosts

We have just spent the weekend at barn cottage for a family birthday celebration. Lots of space, high spec finishing and very clean. Felt very much like a home. Everything you need in the endless drawers and cupboards and the owners were very helpful. We would definitely come back again.

We stayed for two nights in this lovely cottage, it really was one of the nicest homes we have stayed in. Large spacious rooms, fully equipped with everything you need. Quality fittings, exposed beams, barn doors and nicely decorated. Comfy beds with all the extras - large fluffy towels, bathrobes, welcome pack. Highly recommend this property.

Stayed here for a family party in Lincoln-cottage is beautifully restored and very central. We were a family of 6 and there was more than sufficient room for all of us-lovely gardens but unfortunately we didn't have the weather to enjoy them. Would definitely return if back in the area.

What a wonderful conversion. Spacious, light, well equipped and a beautiful location. Amazing master bedroom and bathroom and the rest of the Barn is beautifully restored with exposed beams and original features. Wish I had that kitchen at home!

We stayed for 2 nights in between Christmas and New Year. I am very picky but would not hesitate in staying here again. Very comfortable, spacious accommodation and we appreciated the extras especially the dressing gowns. Thank you Simon, we hope to see you again sometime.

We visited barn cottage for the new year with our 2 children and 2 friends and there 2 children all I can say is try it yourselves it's quality a huge space and lots of extras loved every minute and the people that run it are lovely... will visit again

Barn Cottage is stunning. In a beautiful secure setting. It has wow factor the minute you walk in,especially the kitchen which is just huge. the pictures on the website do not do it justice.. The king size bed upstairs is so comfy. Everything is clean and good quality .There is a very pretty garden .Many little thoughtful extras provided.Had a wonderful few days here.Thoroughly recommend it.You cant go wrong Excellent.

How do damage deposits work?

If Simon (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
