Glymestone Cottage - a beautiful barn conversion - provides spacious, open plan accommodation. Decorated in a 'country meets contemporary' style, it is situated in an idyllic rural setting, with fantastic walks and countryside right on your doorstep.
Situated within the grounds of Stone Farm, the cottage sits in the beautiful Glyme Valley, just 3 miles from the Cotswold market town of Chipping Norton. Whatever the season, it is the perfect place from which to enjoy all the countryside has to offer with a wealth of walks, cycle routes, bridleways and wildlife right on your doorstep. Yet it is within easy reach of plenty of interesting towns, such as Burford, Woodstock, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold, enabling you to enjoy a fantastic Cotswold holiday.
Available for our guests to use is a heated outdoor swimming pool. Beautifully warm and sheltered, our enclosed pool is a very short walk from the cottage (opening dates at our discretion, usually May - September). New from 2015, Stone Farm also has its very own tennis court which guests can use at any time. These two features in particular make Stone Farm a great place for all the family to enjoy the perfect holiday.
Children will love exploring the surrounding countryside - there is plenty of space for them to roam around and play (highchair, stair gate and travel cot available free of charge). Dogs - who are very welcome - will love the abundance of walks just outside your door - Stone Farm is located on both the Shakespeare and Wychwood Way (£20 per dog per booking, max 2). And couples will find this the perfect rural retreat - the peaceful, away from it all location guarantees you a chance to relax and recuperate.
Glymestone Cottage is one of two cottages located at Stone Farm. Whilst it sleeps four, if you have a larger group or wanted to holiday with another family in the same location, our sister cottage - Hoarstone - sleeps a further four people. The cottages are close enough to each other to be able to do so, yet far enough apart to guarantee your privacy.
The accommodation offers: 2 bedrooms, one king and one twin, family bathroom (with power shower, separate bath, heated towel rail), kitchen (with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave) and an open plan sitting room with a cosy wood burning stove (a basket of logs and kindling is provided with further supplies available free of charge), a 32" TV with Blue-ray DVD player, CD with iPod dock as well as books, games and puzzles for guests to enjoy. A selection of children's toys can be provided depending on the ages of the children staying.
French doors open from the sitting room into a small walled garden with barbecue and outdoor seating - perfect for relaxing after a pleasant days sightseeing.
Amenities: ample parking, a secure barn for storing bikes, bed linen, towels, electricity, central heating and FREE wifi. Regret no smoking.

“Wonderful stay in the Cotswolds”
We stayed in Nicky's beautiful cottage for 3 nights and I can honestly say it was one of the nicest holiday cottages we have ever rented! Beautifully decorated, well positioned, super clean, and very friendly owners. Not the largest outdoor space, but with the Cotswolds on your door step, you dont really need a big garden.

A fabulous Easter break for both of us, even though temps at 0 and snow on the ground. It's so easy to get to all the cotswolds villages, and lots of cute things to do in them. Independant stores, and beautiful tea rooms. Villages themselves are just delightful. Like you've stepped back in time. Cottage was so beautiful and clean and snuggley. We made full use of the log fire. Lovely. We found everything we needed was to hand. Nice little touches like blanket throws on both sofas in the longe, an enlarging mirror in the bathroom, shoe rack by door. It's a lovely large cottage and only 2 other properties that are close by. One is another rental cottage and we didn't even see it or the people staying there, and the other is the owners Nick and Nicky, who are close for any questions or problems but otherwise you would never see them due to entry and exit of both properties. Trust me we would never stay with owners next door. Have done it once before and were a little concerned, but no need. Didn't even see N&N until the 2nd day, when we needed them. They are so kind and friendly and will help with anything you need, without being intrusive. We slept great, beds great. Towels fluffly. Cushions in lounge are feather & very comfy as are sofas. 10mins on a straight road is the Red Lion. We have stayed there and eaten there a couple of times before so were delighted to return. Gastro Pub food. Locally sourced, log fires, reasonable prices, great staff, fab wine by the glass. Also COCO is the resident brown lab and loved by all. I know i'm supposed to list any points for improvement but they are so petty. The lane you have to use to get to the property is approx 200mtrs and very bumpy. It's just a track and the terrible weather made it awful, but Nick had done his best to fill in a lot of the holes to make it a little easier. Personally we would of liked liquid soap in the bathroom and not a vanity bar, just for hygenie reasons. Also the bath is very tiny, only good for children really. There were no dishwasher tablets which i'm sure was just an oversight. We just bought some from supermarket. We would also of liked feather pillows. These things would of been inkeeping with the high quality overall of the property. As i said very small things. We have been to the Cotswolds on a couple of occasions and stiill have things to do there and we would DEFINATLEY 100% stay here again. That's high praise indeed as we are so fussy and everything has to be to a high standard and perfect for us. So if you are just trying to decide between 2 /3 /4 different cottages, this is the one to go for. You won't be dissapointed at all. Happy Holidays :-)

- How do damage deposits work?
In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nicky (the owner) a message.
If Nicky (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
