Montecastello offers a swimming pool, wifi, child friendly with cot and bedding, high chair, picnic ware. Montecastello in private grounds of mature oak and chestnut woodland and is skirted on two sides by crystal clear flowing streams sourced from the nearby Apennine Mountains which are presented as a panoramic view from the property's natural plateau.

Situated in a beautiful part of north west Tuscany know as Lunigiana. This vibrant green land is steeped in history boasting more than one hundred castles and four distinctive season's. Montecastello is 'A place for all Season's', ideally located for the mountains and the Mediterranean throughout the year. The stunning coast line of Cinque Terre within a 40min drive. Also the beautiful coastal town of Lerici easy to visit offering Marina, beaches, restaurants and bars. For a private boat hire to visit the bays.

Within easy walking distance from montecastello there are two restaurants and a bar. Yummy delights of the locality at very reasonable prices.

Interaction with guest

Martin & Ally live on the estate in a private independant converted barn.. They will be available to welcome you to the property and chat to you about the Villa & locality. If a welcime meal is required they will be happy to oblige.. They are on hand if needed to help and advise.. Although try to be discreet and appreciate the privacy of the guests. Martin cleans and maintains the swimming pool each morning.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alison (the owner) a message.

If Alison (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
