Kilda House is a large family house at the Outer Hebrides, Isle of Harris, South Harris - Leverburgh. The house boast EXCELLENT SEA LOCH VIEWS over tidal Sea Loch Obbe, Leverburgh and the remote South Harris hills and is at a 5 min. drive from many BEAUTIFUL REMOTE WHITE SANDY BEACHES. A perfect base to start your holiday in the most sought area of the Isle of Harris, as this part of Harris is closest to most of the beaches. It is a beautiful cosy and luxurious (graded 4 star) semi detached Edwardian house.

This romantic house has a lovely open plan sitting, dining room with a wood burning stove, is beautifully decorated, high standard furnishings, further a lcd tv, i-pod docking and open plan well equipped kitchen/dishwasher,De Longhi de luxe bean to cup coffee machine, a coffee maker, caffetiere,Boretti stove, Combi Microwave/grill.

The 3 bedroomed house has 2 pristine marble tiled bathrooms, one with a Shower, toilet, washbasin downstairs and another lovely bathroom upstairs with a Jucuzzi bath.

The master bedrooms has a good quality memory foam super king-sized bed 160x200cm,

the large 3rd bedroom has 3 singles 80 x 200cm, or one super king and a single in third bedroom, further a cot bed and high chair on request available.

In the hall downstairs a good quality washing machine and tumble dryer.

You can see the ferry to the Uists coming in from the master bedroom. At the back there is a 40m. deep terrassed sloping fenced garden with a picknick table at the top for fantastic views over the Sound of Harris towards Uists.

Many beaches are close by at a 5 min. drive, either the 4 Norhton beaches or the vast white sandy beach of Scarista, great for swimming, windkarting, surfing and walking. Wildlife is at your doorstep as otters live in Loch Obbe.

Pub and restaurant are just a 5 min. walk away. Excellent fishing opportunities (salmon/trout) in the sealoch in front of the house and at the fishing estates on the island. We are very happy to give you all the details.

For a luxurious, relaxing and active family holiday near white sandy beaches and unspoilt nature! Kilda House is a good base to enjoy walking, fishing, cycling, seal-watching, kayaking, hill walking or climbing. Your hosts are very happy to advise you on the best places to go fishing, the nicest walks, family or award winning restaurants to eat out, where to source local produce such as scallops, lobster, crab.

Don't be surprised to watch a Golden eagles soaring over the house, meet an Otter at Loch Obbe or Norhton's first or third beach as they live there. Seals are seen very often and with kayaks you can come very close to them. Porpoises may be seen playing in the waves at Sacrista Beach.

Wonderful location and accommodation. We spent the last 10 days here - it was difficult to leave. The owners make you feel very much at home and the décor is amazing. Highly recommended!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Suzan (the owner) a message.

If Suzan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
