Description

Apt. 1 is a spacious yet modern apartment offering offordable luxury in the Alps. The Leutasch area could not be more stunning, with the mountains providing a backdrop for any outdoor activity that takes your fancy. In Winter, skiing, cross-country skiing, walking, snow-shoeing and sledging are just some of the options. In summer you could walk, run, climb or mountain bike. If this all seems too much, then just relax in the wonderful Alpenbad swimming baths (free entry with summer bookings), hang out and barbeque in the fenced garden, or enjoy the fantastic restaurants and alpine huts. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants within a 5 minute walk but if you don't fancy it, then you could always snuggle up on the huge corner sofa in front of the woodburner and watch a DVD (player provided)

New for 2018 is our cosy BBQ hut. Perfect for families and groups, our Scandinavian grill hut is available for use by all our guests. Just let us know when you would like to reserve it.

We provide a luxurious, spacious and comfortable environment in which to relax, cook, have fun and sleep well in an area which could not fail to impress. We are a British couple, mad about the outdoors and are happy to advise on any aspect of your holiday.

Our apartment was completely renovated in Summer 2011 in a modern yet cosy style. Touches like underfloor heating, a wood burning fire and a fantastic shower ensure that you'll feel well looked after and relaxed at Happy Mountains. There is also a washing machine, an all-important dishwasher and a full size fridge. Our sofa can seat a whole family and is the perfect place to snuggle up in the evenings. There are also two terraces so that you can enjoy the plentiful sunshine all day. The fenced garden is perfect for little children and dogs.

Apt 1 has a private east-facing breakfast terrace and a private south-facing deck with spectacular view of the mountains. The deck leads out into the main garden, which has a sunbathing area, BBQ area and a fire pit for cooler evenings. There is also a slackline and a trampoline to entertain your teenagers in summer. The garden is fenced, making it ideal for dogs and toddlers.

New for 2018 is our cosy BBQ hut. Perfect for families and groups, our Scandinavian grill hut is available for use by all our guests. Just let us know when you would like to reserve it.

Getting around

Like most country areas, you will have more flexibility with a car, especially with small children. That said, there are loads of lovely walks on the doorstep as well as a supermarket and restaurants. The buses are very reliable but not too frequent (e.g. to Seefeld: one every one-two hours). If you'll be using the bus, please ask us to add a bus pass to your guest card (12 € per stay, adults free)

We live in the same house so should be there to greet you.Our bell is marked Hargreaves. If we are going to be away, we'll let you know beforehand. If we are out when you arrive, there is a key safe with your key. The code is 4325. The apartment is down the wooden steps to the left of the drive.

“A lovely holiday in a good location”

Apartment 1 at Happy Mountains is spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location is very good. In walking distance of the supermarket and restaurants and one can do longer walks from the apartment without needing the car. We were slightly disappointed that, being below ground level, we were not table to enjoy views of the stunning surroundings.

Apartment one is on the lower ground floor therefore the views from the living room are of the flower garden rather than the mountains. I hope you were able to enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains from the master bedroom and from the private terrace.

“Wonderful apartment, ideal base to explore Austria/Germany”

We stayed here for 10 nights with our two boys (ages 13 & 11). The apartment is excellent, very clean, plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, WIFI and lovely gardens. Emily & Steve were very friendly and extremely helpful with recommendations on the local area, restaurants etc. We did various activities whilst staying in Leutasch some of our favourites include white water rafting (Area 47 & Feel Free), walks (Leutasch gorge walk was good fun), Alpine coasters (Imst, Austria and Kolbensattel, Germany), cable car rides up Roshutte in Seefeld and trips to the Alpenbad swimming pool (entrance included with summer bookings). I would highly recommend staying at Happy Mountains, we cant wait to return!

My wife and I stayed four nights during a motorcycle tour of the area and found the apartment ideal for our needs. We received a visitors card for the area which gave free entry to the new swimming pool and various other benefits. The apartment is clean and not overly furnished leaving plenty of space to move around. Bars,Cafes and a supermarket are within walking distance. Emily and Steve are very nice, friendly and helpful as well as having plenty of knowledge of the area. We were made welcome and felt at home.

We were really pleased with our stay at the apartment. An ideal place to stay with our one year old boy: large living area big enough for the occasional rainy day, and a fenced garden with a terrace and lawn for the other days. Restaurants and supermarkets, and large indoor swimming pool (for which we got a free entrance pass with the apartment. i'm not sure if this is offered troughout the year) are within walking distance. nice and easy walks in the valley and woods start from the front door.

My fiancé and I stayed in Apartment 1 for 7 nights at the start of December. Prior to our stay we had been travelling for 4.5 months - through North America and Europe. We can say with absolute certainty that Leutasch was our favourite stop! We loved everything about the little town, especially our accomodation at Happy Mountains. We arrived and the scenery took our breath away - the street that the apartment is located on was surrounded by huge, snow-capped mountains and the traditional homes lining the street were gorgeous. The owner, Emily, met us at the apartment and showed us around - she was very welcoming and friendly. Prior to arriving, Emily had given us advice on the best nearby ski runs and even booked us a table at a local restaurant for Christmas Eve - amazing hospitality. We were so happy with the apartment - modern, spacious, well-equipped and in a perfect location. There is a great little supermarket 500m up the road, a number of restaurants to choose from and plenty of walking trails to explore the town. Emily and her husband Steve live upstairs and were willing to help with whatever we needed - it was very handy. To top off our fantastic visit - we got snow on Boxing Day (and a lot of it)! :)

Very well maintained large appartment in the basement with large fenced garden, ideal for dogs! Free WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher, very complete. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful view on the mountains from the backyard. The street and village are quiete, not much to do, but lots of walking, swimming and adventure in the neighborhood. Supermarket at the end of the street, several nice restaurants on walking distance. Lovely river just 100 meter away for walks with the dogs and some cold feet in the summer. Last but not least: the owners, Emily and Steve, are very friendly and helpful. Will definetely recommend this place to people looking for comfort and peace and quiete.

Apartment new, modern and spacious, well located with beautiful outlook. I really enjoyed staying at this apartment. It was well located for various activities . There were good walks close by as well as a ski slope. There was also a really good leisure centre with spa about a ten minute walk away. A well equipped local supermarket is only a 5 minute walk, which is really handy.

Really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very comfortable, cosy at all times and no shortage of hot water. Kitchen well equipped and with a very well stocked supermarket just along the road there was no problem with self catering. Leutasch is a fantastic walking and biking area. We have stayed in nearby Seefeld a number of times and enjoyed exploring the Leutasch and Gaistal valleys, still more walks to do. Emily has a good knowledge of the walking and cycling routes and of course the best mountain huts for strudel! A car is not necessary, the bus service is regular, always on time and with your 12euro pass excellent value. Choice of restaurants within walking distance. Emily was at hand and willing to help but did not impose.

Happy mountains is certainly a very apt name for this property.Beautifully situated at the foot of the mountains with excellent trails for walking, running and cycling, yet very conveniently situated as regards all amenities.Supermarket,restaurants,banks, cafes, bus stops and pubs are all within 500m.The apartment itself is very well kitted out and very comfortable. wifi is freely available. The owner Emily is a lovely host and is very helpful.I would certainly recommend this property and area for an excellent holiday. Overall an amazing experience.

We travelled to Austria from the UK with our family including two boys aged 11 & 8 and our 1 year old daughter for a white Christmas. We arrived at Happy Mountains and were warmly greeted by Emily & Steve who showed us to our apartment. We were pleasantly surprised by how homely and big it was. The main bedroom was huge and easily fit a cot for our baby. The boys had bunk beds in the other bedroom which they were happy with. Emily had lovely new kids themed bedding and made sure that we were very comfortable. Free wifi was so convenient and also the English TV channels. There is a very well stocked supermarket just down the street and all other amenities are within walking distance. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend these apartments and the lovely village of Leutasch.
