|Further details indoors|
Our staffed chalets include an experienced chef offering the finest cuisine using all the best quality local ingredients including his specialities 'Filet de Boeuf Wellington' and 'Lobster Thermidor'. There is a chalet host to ensure that your every need is satisfied and a driver who is available 24 hours a day. Our chef will provide you with breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés and dinner in the lodges. The chalets are kept warm by underfloor heating and open fires, ensuring that you return to a warm room after a day of skiing. However, champagne in the hot tub is usually a more popular option.
There is a candlelit snug that is ideal for relaxing or reading but at the same time works well as a den for the kids. You will never be stuck for something to read as the lodges include a library boasting a collection that is so extensive that there are a number of collectors editions including a rare copy of 'Mein Kampf'. (Book Adolf Hitler wrote whilst in prison) There is a fully stocked cellar consisting of our carefully chosen House wine, which will be served during dinner and is included in the package. You can also order in any specific wine requirements and we will have it ready for you on your arrival. Both lodges are beautifully furnished and have cosy living areas with open fires and breathtaking views of the mountains.
|Further details outdoors|
Outside of the chalets there is a terrace with outdoor heaters, candles, blankets and loungers which are perfect for sunny mountain days but are also extremely comfortable at night. We also have a hot tub and a fire pit so you needn't worry about being cold. The views from the lodges are absolutely stunning-you can see views of Sainte Foy, les Arcs, Bourg Saint Mourice, all the way down the valley to Val d'Isere. You can also watch the helicopters fly across from Les Arcs!
There are plenty of activities on offer at Pook Heli Lodges. Due to our location you could ski in six resorts in one week or even ski over to Italy for lunch. We also accommodate those of you who don't ski; there is an in house masseuse, you can snow shoe to a wilderness yurt, have cocktails by the fire pit, visit local spas and farmers markets, go husky dog sledding, partake in yoga and fitness classes, you could even take part in a cooking class with our very own Chef!
The Rhône-Alpes region
The Savoie region is known for its ski resorts and locally produced meats, cheeses and wines. There is an abundance of Michelin star restaurants in the area offering gourmet cuisine and you will most likely notice the passion that the French have for their food and wine. One particular restaurant that we recommend is a very charming rustic restaurant called Chez Merie in a place called Le Miroir, which is just outside Saint Foy (only 10mins drive away from our Lodges).
In terms of skiing, it offers some of the world's best and most famous ski resorts such as Val d'Isere and The Three valleys, which is the largest ski area in the world. Val d'Isere has some of the best glacier skiing in Europe which ensures quality snow all year round. The resorts vary in size from the smaller charming resorts such as Sainte Foy to the much more expansive Three Valleys with après-ski that will knock your socks off! We have 6 of such resorts within a 30 minute drive from us so the variety of on and off piste activities are extensive and due to the altitude of these resorts the chances of great snow are very high.
We are located on the south side of a mountain face off the main road up towards La Rosiere ski resort but close to Sainte Foy ski resort too. We are at the end of a cul-de-sac serviced by a single track road. We are about as remote a location that you can drive too. We have stunning uninterrupted views across the Isere Valley towards Val d'Isere and the tiny hamlet where we are located is a sleepy farming community still rolling milk earns along the road and keeping their cows in the ground floor of their houses! It truly is an unbeatable place to go and relax and escape the tourists.

"Luxury accommodation with supreme location and first class service."
Pook Heli-lodges offer a unique experience based in the heart of the French alps with a choice of ski resorts (La Rosiere, Sainte Foy, Tignes/Val d'Isere) only short drive/ helicopter ride away. The accommodation is luxurious having recently been renovated, it provides the perfect base to relax and unwind. In addition the outdoor hot tub helps to ease the aches and pains from a day in the mountains. If that does not suffice, you can even arrange for a private massage. The lodges are high on the mountain side providing spectacular views and tranquility, a great place to escape and refresh the batteries. For those who want apres-ski/nightlife, there is a 24hr Chauffeur service so you can party in Val d'Isere until your heart is content. The Chalet staff were extremely helpful and provided a first class service always with a smile. The food was delicious and freshly prepared by the chef. The only downfall is the 2.5hour transfer from Geneva but it's worth the wait and if you really want to travel in style you can always pay for the helicopter transfer direct from Geneva airport to the lodge door in only 30mins. This is an unique experience, not to be missed.
