Description

Nestling in the foothills of Mont Blanc Chalet Bois de Neige is built in the traditional alpine style with its own large wrap around garden and no passing traffic. As the garden is fully enclosed it provides a quiet and relaxing area for both adults and children. There are views of the Aiguille du Midi and the Mont Blanc mountain range from the garden.

The living/dining area is open plan with french doors to the garden which has a paved patio area and garden furniture.

There is a seperate kitchen with a dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

There is a washing machine.

The ground floor shower room has a shower cubicle, vanity unit, wc and electric towel rail.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom with jacuzzi bath, whb, wc, electric towel rail and hair dryer.

Bed linens and towels included.

The ground floor is fully tiled.

The high quality furnishings, log fire and the addition of electric heating throughout ensures warmth and comfort at all times of the year. The lcd tv has uk freeview and French channels. There is free wifi, a dvd player with a selection of dvds, books and board games.

Please note that although the property is ideal for children we do not provide cots, highchairs or stair gates.

In winter snow tyres or chains are required.

Available June - September inclusive.

Getting around

There are numerous walks from the chalet with Les Houches being just 20 minutes along scenic paths. While a car is essential it provides the opportunity to explore a wider area with day trips to Annecy, Geneva, the Aosta Valley, Milan and Switzerland. The bus and train are a 20 minute walk with the bus running every half hour and the local Mont Blanc Express train every hour from the local station of Taconnaz. The train goes all the way to Martigny in Switzerland. The Mullet is a free bus service around Chamonix town.

“Excellent Chalet in a beautiful area.”

Well equiped and comfortable chalet in a great location for exploring the Chamonix Valley. 2 minutes drive to the lifts at Les Houches and 10 minutes in to Chamonix itself. A very warm and cosy place to stay especially when the log fire is roaring after a hard day on the slopes. With the choice of several ski areas within 20 minutes or even a trip through the tunnel to Italy, there is plenty for everyone.

“A lovely homely chalet”

The location of Chalet Bois de Neige is brilliant- although only really accessible by car. In terms of skiing you are a very short drive from the ski lifts in Les Houches; and there are plenty of ski hire facilities in the village. The other areas in the Chamonix zone are also only a short drive away so there’s plenty of options for varied skiing. The amenities are all close by; with a good Super U in the Les Houches village, and Chamonix provides an abundance of supermarkets, tourist shops and restaurants. The chalet itself has a lovely homely feel. It was clean and tidy upon our arrival, and there was easily enough room for five adults to comfortably live for a week. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you might need for a self-catering holiday. There are also lovely mountain views out of the kitchen, lounge and bedroom windows. The owners were extremely helpful with local information and we experienced a very efficient booking process. All in all we had a lovely holiday; with a great chalet to relax in after hard days skiing.

4 adults and 2 children stayed in April and had a fantastic time - the chalet was very well equipped to deal with our every need - the jacuzzi bath really helped to sorted out our sore skiing muscles at the end of the day! The kitchen had everything we required to cook and the comfortable lounge meant we could watch dvds in the evening. Excellent location - great views of the mountains and only a 20 minute walk/ couple of minutes drive to the supermarket. I would definitely recommend this chalet to anyone wanting to explore the chamonix region!
