Chalet Jean is a spacious, self-catered, luxury ski chalet in the prime Alpine ski area of Les Houches. It has been recently renovated to the highest standard and with its glorious, panoramic views over the surrounding mountains, it is the perfect place for family and friends to come together to experience the wonders of Chamonix. With 370sqm of floor space and balcony areas, the chalet has been finished to the highest of standards and boasts 5 bedrooms, a spacious games room/bedroom 6, plus a cosy kids’ bunk room, sleeping up to 14 people in total. There are 5 bathrooms, 3 of which are en-suite, and 2 separate toilets.

Despite its idyllic, secluded, South-facing position, high speed internet means that visitors to Chalet Jean can remain connected – if they want to! Flat screen televisions, Apple TV, DVD library and a Sonos music system all ensure that the party goes with a swing throughout the stay. The large open plan living room, with its roaring log fire, is perfect for après ski get togethers, and the well equipped kitchen along with its generous dining table, provides everything required for convivial holiday entertaining in a luxury ski chalet. Chalet Jean's hot tub is discretely located on the outside terrace and is perfect for a romantic rendez-vous under the stars, but at the same time, roomy enough for a party of five! For visitors with children, the spacious ground floor playroom is invaluable. A large box of toys and games, table tennis table and TV all mean that the little ones can have their own fun. Furthermore, two single beds in this space provide additional accommodation for extra large parties.

Really nice challet

There was plenty of room, it was clean and well equipped. Outdoor bath was fantastic and view breathtaking.

We're very sorry that there were a few niggles during your stay - we do usually provide toilet roll and washing up sponge etc. on arrival to get our guests started so we apologise that these were missed for your arrival. We're glad that we could come and drop off the toilet roll for you and open up the doors as requested on the day you arrived to set you up and provide access to additional hanging space too, and we do apologise for the light bulbs which seem to have slipped through the net. Thank you for the feedback - we will take it on board to ensure that the same issues don't happen for future guests. We hope to see you back again soon in Chamonix.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
