“Great holiday lots of wonderful snow”

Reviewed 3 Feb 2015

The apartment was warm and cozy and very well equipped for the six of us. Our family and friends have stayed in the village centre for a number of years so we were a little concerned before our arrival that the chalet was a long way out of the village. However, the proximity of the free ski bus made the journey to the village and the slopes really easy in fact we really enjoyed the walk. The only down side of the apartment was the lack of toilets, one for six people or more was not enough. Lisa the owner was very good at keeping in touch throughout the booking process and the arrangements in resort were very good. The damage deposit was returned promptly.

“Super apartment in Les Carroz”

Well equipped and comfortable apartment offering good value for money. Would definitely return ! Les Carroz is a lovely town.

“spacious well appointed chalet”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2015

Ground floor apartment in modern but traditional style chalet near the Leisure Centre with easy access to ski-bus. Good communication with owners and no problems with accessing keys etc on arrival. Clean, very well appointed and spacious for family of 8 with 6 teenagers/young adults. Only one toilet, although separate from bathroom and ensuite shower room. Bunk room snug and a bit hot at times. Good selection of games, DVDs and books, although DVD player wasn't working during our stay- I understand has since been replaced. Kids also enjoyed the sledges on the first night after fresh dump of snow. Pleasant ten minute walk to centre of Les Carroz and bakery in the morning. We chose to drive to cable car, but buses every 15-20mins. Parking outside the apartment could be a bit of a challenge! The Grand Massif ski area has a wide range of runs for skiers of all abilities in beautiful surroundings. We have been to this resort several times and always really enjoyed it. Easy access from A40 and only 50-60min drive from Geneva. We will be back and would definitely stay at Chalet Les Trappeurs again

“Great location,ideal for kids”

We had a great holiday! The apartment has a great location. A minute from the local swimming pool,5 minutes walk to the village. We will hopefully be back!

“Lovely apartment, perfect for our stay..”

Reviewed 17 Feb 2014

I stayed here with my 2 brothers for a 3 day ski trip in Les Carroz/Flaine. We have stayed a few times in Les Carroz but it was the first time at this apartment. Lisa was a pleasure to deal with when booking and overall the apartment is lovely. Parking is very easy right next to the front door and the apartment itself is on the ground floor. It was nice and warm when we arrived and had everything we required. Cooker, oven and fridge were spotless and it has a lovely dining table in the kitchen area. The bedrooms are fine, sofa in lounge area very comfortable and there is a tv with large selection of DVDs (although we didnt put tv on at all). There is also wifi and this worked well. It is only a short walk to the town, around 10 mins but very flat and easy and a nice thing to do. The balcony has a nice view if the mountains along from les Carroz and you can watch the shadows rise up these as the sun sets. Skking is great, bus can take you to the Telecabin in Les Carroz although as we had a car we drove to Les Molliets and Vernant for a more leisurely start each day. Overall I would recommend a stay at Les Trappeurs, a very nice, comfortable and clean apartment that we very much enjoyed using.

“The apartment was quality.”

Reviewed 20 Jan 2014

The apartment was clean and spacious.,excellent kitchen ware made entertaining pleasurable. The apartment had excellent views and was very warm,,drying ski wear was not an issue. The free ski bus stops approx 100 steps from the apartment. The boot room is literally next door, so no time wasted collecting and dropping off equipment. We had an excellent stay and would definitely return. We have stayed in 4 similar apartments in the same area and this one was the best.

“Great apartment/location in a good family resort within a large ski area”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2014

Lovely apartment seconds from ski bus stop and only a ten minute walk into town. Nice and warm with plenty of hot water. We were a family of 5 so we felt the accommodation was plenty big enough for us but I would struggle filling it to its capacity of 10 with only 1 toilet. Lisa was very helpful answering all our questions before we went and the key transfer and support from the agent on site all went smoothly. Would highly recommend for families looking to keep costs down by self catering.

“Great for a family or friends ski break”

Reviewed 25 Jan 2013

This was an ideal property for our lads ski weekend. Just the right size, even though we were eight adults (though an extra toilet would have been an advantage). Do not be put off by the seemingly remote location. The apartments are situated at the terminus of the very frequent ski bus, which takes you directly to the ski lifts.

“Perfect for a family ski holiday”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2013

We stayed in Chalet Les Trappeurs for a family ski holiday over Christmas. The chalet surpassed all expectations, with plenty of space and all the necessary amenities (including games etc) to cater for a large group. Perfectly situated on the edge of Les Carroz and literally a 20 second walk from the bus stop (to catch the free (and regular) ski bus to the slopes), the chalet enjoys good views of the surrounding mountains from a large balcony. The town of Les Carroz itself was also something of a discovery, with plenty of options for eating out / going for a drink. The free ski buses circle the town very regularly making it easy to get to and from the slopes at any time of day. The Les Carroz pistes - as part of the larger Grand Massif range - offer great variety and choice of daily route for the intrepid skier - but also have plenty of runs to cater for beginners/intermediate skiers. To conclude, a superb chalet situated in a picturesque town, with plenty to do - and just 50 minutes from Geneva airport. Highly recommended!

“Perfectly located, modern, warm and very spacious apartment set in Les Carroz a busy ski/mountain resort”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2012

We thoroughly had a wonderful family break away. The chalet apartment was very spacious with 3 double bedrooms, one of which had 2 double bunk beds which our kids loved. It was very modern with a spacious living space consisting of a fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, fridge etc, excellent sized dining table and a cosy living room area with TV, loads of DVD’s, traditional games and a playstation - enough to keep everyone happy. The apartment was quick to warm up and the showers and bath were amazing with loads of boiling water. All bedding and towels are provided. It had just snowed when we arrived at Les Carroz so we were able to see what the resort was like with snow and our kids couldn’t wait to go sledging and build a snowman. The apartment is a 2 minute walk from the free bus stop into town which runs during the winter season although the main town square is only a 15 minute walk anyway. Just down the road from the apartment there are tennis courts, BMX ramps, basketball courts and they are just finishing a very modern indoor swimming pool due to be opened this winter and 3 more impressive outdoor pools ready for the summer and this is not to mention that you are constantly surrounded by stunning views. They are many mountain trails for biking, horseriding or simply for walking and enjoying. The tourist board are fantastic and offer advice for all restaurants, activities and events which are going on for all ages. We never realised that Les Carroz is only an hour away from Italy and we went on a day trip through the extremely long Monte Blanc Tunnel (48 euro toll return trip) through to Courtmayeur it was a wonderful day trip and kids couldn’t believe they had arrived in Switzerland, crossed into France and then went to Italy for the day. Les Carroz offers lots of bars, shops and restaurants plenty to keep the whole family happy. We had a wonderful break and would happily go back at any time of the year as we realised that each season offers different activities and lots of things to do.
