This privately owned and managed one bedroom apartment (sleeps 5) is a self catering apartment and located on the sixth floor of the very popular and well know ski-in / ski-out Residence le Belmont in Les Arc 1800. The apartment is located just 180m or 20 seconds ski down to the main TransArc gondola taking you to 2600m and access to the Paradise area. Les Arcs is a high altitude winter and summer Alpine holiday resort located just 200m from the bustling Villards area, the main village in the resort of Les Arc 1800, with its many bars, restaurants, shops and facilities.

The Les Arcs resort was created more than 50 years ago and is part of the vast Paradiski ski system. The Les Arcs alone ski area includes 106 pistes, 54 lifts and 200 kilometers of descent. The highlight of the resort is the Red Needle (Aiguille Rouge) at 3,226m altitude. It is a 10 km long piste with a vertical descent of 2026 meters that leads to the village of Villaroger. Since the opening of the Vanoise Express cable in December 2003, Les Arcs has become part of the group of ski resorts linked to the Paradiski group, which also includes the La Plagne region. Paradiski has 425 km of pistes. Its domain has a great reputation, with snow parks, green, blue, red and black runs. It has an amazing and modern ski lift, gondola and cable car system which is continuously upgraded.

Le Arcs is also considered by many to be the cradle of snowboarding in Europe. Local instructor Regis Rolland popularised snowboarding in France with the Apocalypse Snow series of films made in the early 1980s.

Arc 2000 was the location for the 1992 Olympic Winter Games (speed skiing) with its 2000 meter long run with 700 additional meters to stop!

The balconies of the apartment look down on the Arc Adventures kids ski school below and face toward the Mont Blanc massif offering views of the Aiguilles des Glaciers and Aiguilles des Trelatete. The balconies also offer views across the Tarentaise valley to Tetes des Bellaval and Mont Tondu.

Arc 1800:

Residence Le Belmont is an example of modernist design by architect Charlotte Perriand. Arc 1800 is the largest of the ski resorts and consists of four "villages" called "Charvet", "Villards", "Charmettoger" and "Chantel" and is a real balcony over the Haute-Tarentaise, Arc 1800 is the confluence point of Paradiski. It has about 100 shops, shuttle services, hotels, meeting rooms, a two-screen cinema and an ice rink. There is a good selection of restaurants to suit all tastes, including Casa Mia, voted Resort Restaurant of the Year 2003 as part of a global competition. The village has already hosted the snowbombing event dedicated to dance and snowboarding.

The village occupies an ideal position on the mountain, just above the Arc 1600 station, and considering its altitude above the snow line during the winter. In addition to the TransArc gondola, there is a good selection of lifts, such as the six-seater Vagere, which allows skiers to go to different parts of the mountain.

Arc 1800 sometimes has better weather conditions given the topography of the mountain. When heavy snow falls in Arc 2000, it can be closed and can also be at the mercy of strong winds that lead into the valley. This is not a problem for Arc 1800, which also faces west and so enjoys the afternoon sun.

This area is connected to the resort of La Plagne by the Vanoise Express cable car, from the village of Peisey.

Les Arcs is a high-altitude resort: 70% of the Paradiski area is situated above 2,000 metres and its highest point, the Aiguille Rouge, is at an altitude of 3,226 metres. Accordingly, natural snow coverage guarantees exceptional snow conditions from the opening date in December until the end of the season in April.

The ski area is also equipped with the very latest in high-performance artificial snow systems which enables a guarantee quality snow coverage and ensures links to the various parts of the resort. Snow is produced in autumn using water from the melting snow in spring, which is held in Europe’s biggest reservoir.

Les Arcs Golf:

Chantel 18 holes (par 70) and Beauchet 9 holes (par 27), designed by Robert Berthet are located 1500m from the apartment and are open from mid-June to mid-September.

Les Arcs Mountain biking and other activities:

There is 180 km of mountain bike trails with an adapted lift system and many other summer and winter activities for the whole family and all levels of experience.

The owner will provide a welcome pack with full details of access codes and key collection point well in advance of your arrival. Communications with the property owner will be via booking provider mailbox, email, text, WhatsApp or telephone as may permitted by this booking provider. The property is very easily accessed 24/7 by the guest on arrival to Residence Le Belmont. The owner will be in contact with the guest upon arrival to ensure smooth access to the residence and key collection from the key box or the owners management company (also 24/7). Any issues arising during the guests stay will be communicated to the owner by phone/text. The owner will endeavor to resolve all issues within a reasonable time subject to resort access.
