Villa 3 Olivi is a detached house located in Lenno, a lovely small village rich of history and charm on the western side of the lake Como. Positioned in an enchanting setting, with a great view of the pearl of the Italian lakes, Villa 3 Olivi is a good representation of the fine balance between traditional and modern comfort, smartly mixing sleek furniture and antique pieces for the best of the heartwarming hospitality. At the entrance level on the ground floor, we have a well equipped, cosy kitchen that will satisfy even the most intransigent chef and can host a dinner for up to 6 persons. The main bathroom, a nice bedroom with a huge wardrobe and last but not least a separate laundry room complete the scene. But the good has yet to come!: in fact, during the warm season, you will soon see that the lovely terrace and the well-furnished garden area are the two hotspots for outdoor breakfast, sunbathing, reading a book or just listening to some music. From the living room, a few steps of the wooden staircase will lead you to the first floor, a great open space where you can sense the beauty of the lake view outside – through big windows- being a lively part of the house. Here you'll find a space with an antique wooden table, a comfortable double bed and a sofa bed, and a bathroom with shower. Villa 3 Olivi is a tranquil and comfortable accommodation, 400 meters walk away from the village centre where you can find a selection of bars, restaurants and shops and Lido di Lenno, one of the nicest and most popular beaches of Lake Como. The charming landscape and the Villas' superb position will be able to satisfy sport and outdoor activities lovers as well as a traditional family with children looking for some real Italian “quiete”. Bet anyone will love it?!For more pictures please visit FACEBOOK page "Villa 3 Olivi"!
Location description from owner
The Lake Como region
Lake Como is the most beautiful of all the Italian lakes, the deepest in Europe, it is 50 km long, an oasis of tranquillity surrounded by Mediterranean bushes and snowy Alpine peaks. Its charme comes both from the small fishing villages on the shore and from the surrounding mountains. The villages have shores with small gravel beaches, pleasant harbours and water sport areas for windsurfing, sailing and water skiing, whilst the valleys are good for walking, hiking, mountain biking, and in winter for skiing. The slopes of St Moritz, San Bernardino, Madesimo, Gotthard are within an easy reach. Summer should be dedicated to golf, swimming, sailing and all water sports.
Tivano and Breva, the two local winds, guarantee the area a mild climate in summer and a pleasant temperature in winter.
In the nineteenth century it has been a retreat for wealthy Milanese families who built beautiful villas. Some of them are open to the public and their gardens are really worth to be visited. Near Varenna is villa Monastero, Villa Melzi in Bellagio, Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo, Villa Balbaniello in Lenno. Rich and famous people from all over the world have come here for vacation and some of them have bought beautiful mansions ( from Versace to George Clooney).
The relax lovers can enjoy the excursions to Como , Milano, and Lugano and the shop aholics will soon love the designer fashion factory outlets near Como and the Swiss border.
You won’t have time to get bored on the Lake of Como!
Lenno is a charming lakeside village, it is “the heart” of Lake Como and is situated in one of the most fascinating parts of the lake “ la Tremezzina”. It has a charming harbor, an interesting historical centre which dates back to Roman times and offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, supermarkets. At the weekly picturesque, bustling market on Tuesdays you can buy fresh fish, local cheese, meat, clothes, shoes, everything you need.
Lenno has also a wonderful lake front promenade and a Lido with a fine sandy beach, restaurants where you can enjoy a very delicious food, beach-bars and disco at night.
It is a good base to explore famous villages like Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna which are connected to Lenno with boats and ferries .
Menaggio , a charming village with narrow streets, shops, restaurants, and beautiful boulevard, is 6 km far from Lenno. The golf course ,the oldest in Italy, founded in 1912, is situated on a high plateau with a spectacular view of the lake and of the mountains.
Nature lovers have a vast choice of hiking tours in Tremezzina.
A lovely lakeside walk which passes through Lenno is the “Greenway del Lago di Como”, a walk to discover amazing landscapes . It follows the traces of Antica Strada Regina which was built by the Romans. Along the 10.5 km walk ( about 3 hours and half walk) you can discover villas, gardens, restaurants, antique villages, wonderful examples of architecture and great views .
And what about the famous jewels of the lake, the villas?
The fascinating Villa Balbianello and its gardens are nearby. In a fantastic position it has been a movie location for James Bond “Casino Royal” and Hollywood film “Star Wars”. From the Lido di Lenno, visitors can take a taxi boat or walk on foot through a woodland trail. It is really worth a visit!
Villa Carlotta and its beautiful gardens and Villa d’Este are within an easy reach.
And don’t forget Isola Comacina, the unique island of Lake Como. If you are lucky you can meet George Clooney or Brad Pitt at the restaurant.

“Gorgeous, spacious, relaxing villa”
We had a wonderful time at Villa 3 Olivi. It was so relaxing to sit on the covered terrace and look out at the view, or sunbathe on the decking, then stroll over to the pool to cool down. Michele, Georgio and Giovanna were so friendly and helpful so there were no worries during our stay. The whole area was gorgeous and we had the experience of craft fairs, weekly markets and festas in the village to add to the normal activities. We walked the Greenway, climbed up to the Sanctuary, sailed up and down the lake, and had some longer drives to Monte Generosa and St Moritz. Overall it was a wonderful holiday.
