“Fun and quirky period house.”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2017

We spent one week at the Shop Keepers Cottage for a family reunion. The exposed wood beams are charming as well as the original wood plank floor. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen equipped with new appliances with a large refrigerator/freezer, a 6 burner stove, a new clothes washer and dishwasher. The linens and towels were fresh and new. The back garden was pleasant to sit in. The pubs on either side do not pose a problem and the food scents are amazing. There is wonderful breakfast and fish and chips shop in town as well as a bakery, village grocery, post office etc. For Americans, we enjoyed the authenticity of the home. The owners were helpful and kind. You pick up the keys in the village shop.
