“A very relaxing week in the sun!”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2013

The customer service we received was second to none: the owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming, from the beginning of the booking process to after we left the villa, replying promptly to e-mails, offering suggestions and sorting out problems. The welcome basket and fridge full of food was the best one we’ve ever had in many years of holidaying in villas. The villa, which was clean and well equipped with a lovely pool, was an easy drive from the airport, and well located within easy reach of many fabulous beaches and towns. Lendinuso itself had everything we needed within a 5 minute walk (sandy beach, pizzerias, excellent bakery, shops, bar...).

“Excellent Villa”

Really lovely villa and pool, very relaxed feel, and efficient owners who were on hand at all times to help out if needed. Lovely area of Puglia with nice restaurants, excellent deli and supermarket and good links to see the region.

“Delightful hosts, villa, pool and outside gated entertainmnet area”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2013

Richard and Noirin were delightful hosts, greeting us at arrival, answering all our questions, arranging for an extremely educational wine tour at Cantine due Palme in the area -- one of the most informative I have ever been on. We could always depend on them for help and advice during our two-week stay. An unexpected surprise was the "book" the owners had put together with extremely helpful touring ideas and narratives on best beaches in area, iconic towns to visit, attractions of note, when all the towns in the area had their fabulous outdoor market days (not to be missed), etc. We visited many of these listings and found it an ideal trip guide during our stay; better than what we had brought with us! The villa was extremely clean with a nicely equipped kitchen and all amenities you could want. The outdoor pool and entertainment area was like another whole lovely living area that we made great use of. With its combination of shaded and sunny areas, covered and uncovered seating spaces and nooks, there was always a comfortable and private area to enjoy, day and night. The town of Lendinuso is small so we could walk to all the local bars, eateries, and shops. We made friends with the local barristas who were great and made the best cappuccinos for us on many days. Torchiarolo, the closest bigger town a short drive away, has everything you need, even if you never make it to a bigger town and just stay close to home, your pool, and the beautiful Adriatic, just a few blocks walk from the villa! Thank you, Richard and Noirin, for helping to make our trip exploring the beauties of Puglia such a fulfilling adventure! It is an area of Italy not to be missed.

“Everything you would hope it would be”

Reviewed 26 May 2013

The villa has all the mod cons you'd hope for, including washing machine and aircon, in case it really gets hot. That said, the pool is the ideal way of cooling off. Our 3 1/2 year old was very much at home and the whole patio area felt very child safe. Local shops cater for the basics, but the hypermarkets really do sell everything (including bikes and washing machines!). It was just the 3 of us in villa gallese, which felt very spacious, the kitchen was well appointed and meant we cooked in without missing anything from home. The only negative we found, was the relatively small hot water tank meaning long showers left the next person with a cooler experience than they wanted; but definitely a small point against a huge number of positives going for the villa. Its a great base for exploring Puglia, and to top it off they offer a wide range of 'in villa' extras; one of which was 1:1 cookery lessons. I'd been wanting one for ages, but found them hard to find in the uk, and pricey. This ended up being €25 / hour + food costs, and i now make a mean tiramisu and parmagiana. The chef spoke no english, but after about 5 mins this didn't matter as i just watched and learned - Anna managed to explain everything I needed (and had a dictionary for those words that even hand gestures couldn't convey). We drove from Bari, which was an easy drive, although flying into Brindisi would have been much closer (flight times didn't work for us), and getting around was a doodle. I'd recommend a GPS with Italian maps (we took a TomTom) which made the whole navigating exercise a doddle. All in a fantastic vacation, and one place we'll definitely be going back to. A final note has to be that Richard and Noirin were without doubt the best hosts we've ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble (they deliver DVDs from a list of over 200), organised the chef, and came round within 30 mins when the washing machine didn't seem to work. Having people on hand who know the area and speak the language, made a great holiday even better - so to them, if you're reading - many many thanks.
