Description

The Ferry House and is a perfect haven for those looking to escape the hectic pace of everyday life. Refurbished to a high standard. A place where you can wake up in a king size bed and look straight onto St. Ives Bay and Godrevy lighthouse. Watch the ebb and flow of the tide, whilst having your morning tea or coffee. There is a spacious private lawned garden with an indoor heated swimming pool and a conservatory where you can be outside but not feel the elements whilst watching the sunset over the bay. Or, step out of the door and walk on the dunes or beach comb in St. Ives Bay. There is a private garden and patio where you can eat outside whilst watching the sunset over the bay. Alternatively, there is a TV , Blu ray DVD player and free unlimited superfast wifi. Lelant, the birthplace of Rosamunde Pilcher. She has described the walk to the house as "my favourite walk is at Lelant, down the road past the church onto the golf course. You see the bay and the colours, and it's never the same-it's just perfect." Cornwall Today Sept 2014. This is the walk to The Ferry House.

Lelant is very conveniently located near to St. Ives, but remains a peaceful and relaxed village even in the height of summer. The Eden Project is within easy distance to visit for the day, as are many of Cornwall's tourist destinations. A great location, especially of interest to golfers, walkers, painters, ornithologists, kayakers, windsurfers and anglers.

Fully equipped kitchen including cooker, hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher, toaster and kettle. Well stocked with cookware and tableware. Solid beech wood work surfaces, ceramic sink. Open plan living area with ample sofa seating. Free view TV and DVD player. Unlimited infinity WiFi. Large selection of films and documentaries available. Bookshelves with large selection of books and games. Dining area with table and seating for six, with chairs positioned by patio windows with sea views

Fresh towels, bathrobes and bedlinen are provided. The property is thoroughly cleaned after each guest vacates. For stays of more than one week, all sheets and towels will be changed and the accommodation will be vacuum.

The house has a modern wood burning stove. High chairs and travel cot are available on request. The Beach House is suitable for children.

The pool and hot tub are located on the other side of a gated area just off from the garden. The pool is in an enclosure and the hot tub is is under a wooden roof canopy. Both are private from the beach and exclusive for the use of the Ferry House guests. The pool is heated all year round but the heating system will not work with ambient temperatures of below 6 degrees for extended period of time.

The Ferry House is a truly stunning location for painters to experience the special 'light' of St.Ives Bay. The location inspired John Miller to paint world famous seascape and images of the views.

May to Aug is a good time for Anglers to fish for bass from the Beach. Kayakers and gig rowers are seen daily on the estuary. Hayle Towans on the opposite side of the estuary is a popular surfing, kite-surfing and wind surfing beach. The Hayle estuary is the most southerly estuary in the UK and the last stopping spot on mainland UK for migrating birds. It is therefore a RSPB reserve. Walkers can step out the door and walk the Hayle to St Ives section of the South West Coastal Route.

“Beach stay”

Have just returned from a weeks stay in the Ferry house and a very enjoyable experience it was too, topped off with glorious weather , sunshine every day, not bad for middle of November! Equipped with everything you need, and only yards from the beach !My boxer Ruby loved it too as when she wasn’t on the beach she was in the garden watching other dogs play! Very peaceful and quiet, a real gem for you to get away from it all, especially in the heated pool or hot tub, all very private too, would highly recommend it as we will be returning next year.Nicola (the owner) responds promptly when needed, not that we had any problems !
