Pillars House in Constitution Street is an imposing late Victorian, early Edwardian building. It is only a five minute walk away from the popular bars, bistros, restaurants and pubs of The Shore in Leith, while a five minute bus journey in the opposite direction will take you to the heart of the city centre.

The imposing entrance hall has a marble floor and grand staircase.

Kitchen
The large, stylish kitchen has fitted units and has been completely kitted out with brand new, modern appliances and utensils. It has a distinctive scrubbed wooden table that can seat at least six comfortably.

Main bathroom
The bathroom design is inspired by the fin de siècle period. The one nod to contemporary design is the beautiful blue glass splashback round the bath. There is a vintage-style sink and toilet, and tongue-and-groove panelling.

Shower-room
The shower-room is a bright space with a mirrored wall, white wall tiles and a slate floor. A heated towel rail ensures your towels (and you) are warm when you emerge from the shower.

Bedrooms
There are three charming bedrooms - two doubles and a single/twin - each featuring elegant and comfortable beds and classic white bedlinen. Cream walls and chandeliers create an elegant, sophisticated and restful environment. We have one double and one single aerobed - very high tech and very comfortable - for extra guests. They literally inflate and deflate in seconds.

There are two parking spaces at the back of the building for clients to use.

Location description from owner

The Scotland region

Edinburgh is one of Scotland's top tourist destinations, with the annual Edinburgh Festival and Hogmanay festivities being key events for the thousands of visitors who come every year.

Visit the castle, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile to experience some of Edinburgh's history. Once you get to the top of the Mile you can indulge in some whisky tasting at the famous Scotch Whisky experience.

There are museums full of interesting artefacts and many wonderful galleries and exhibitions, including the Royal Scottish Academy and the Gallery of Modern Art, which is set in stunning gardens and has a wonderful cafe.

If music and theatre is your thing, then the Festival and Fringe have it all. Outwith the summer months, there's always a great show or play on somewhere in the capital. There are also art house cinemas such as the Film House and the Cameo.

Golf lovers can take a trip to Muirfield or St Andrews to indulge their habit. Both courses are a short car journey or train ride away.

There are some beautiful beaches in East Lothian, again accessible by a short car or train journey. Or if you prefer to stay in the city, Cramond Beach is only 4 miles or 6 km away.

Whatever your interest, Edinburgh can cater for it.
