To the left of the kitchen is a large bedroom with wide sliding doors to the decking.The 6ft bed can is a zip up bed currently set up as a twin making it very versatile. Bedside lockers and lamps add warmth, storage drawers and hooks for clothing added for your convenience. These rooms all benefit from striking floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that lead onto the deck where you will be overwhelmed with fabulous views of Warrens Cross Lake and where an abundance of wild fowl can be discovered. Whilst making the most of the view the decking has an outside dining table with chairs, large Weber charcoal BBQ and double lounge chairs for your pleasure. There is a luxurious shower room almost opposite the bedroom benefitting from two shower heads and glass shower screen door, modern stylish sink and toilet on a mosaic tiled wall with large mirror above. The Utility room is also to the left of the property housing the Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer, a butler sink and further cupboard space for added storage and a frosted glass side access door. There are 2 x two-seater sit-on kayaks available for use with access to the lake via the boat platform.Relaxation and comfort are key to this property making it an excellent choice for your next stay at The Lakes.

“Great location high end property facilities did match the expectations”
Fantastic location spoilt by cheap plastic plates, glasses, blunt knives low end coffee maker and kettle (full of lime scale) poor seating for party size in living area. One double bed very uncomfortable no extra linen even though extra pillows and quilts available. Only one bedroom plus study had a TV. Only one room a true en-suite. Obversely a house which catered for a number of young child due to the amount of toys etc. Decking needed cleaning covered in cobwebs. Kayaks available unfortunately only 3 paddles. Excellent sonos sound system. Fantastic views. Had a chef come in on the evening fantastic made the weekend.
Thank you for taking the time to review Longcross Waters. We are delighted that you enjoyed the amazing views whilst dining in style. We are, however, a little puzzled by some of your observations & the fact that you didn’t raise any of the issues you experienced during your stay to afford us the opportunity of addressing them. Being a child friendly house we do indeed provide plastic glasses, plates and cutlery, these are also very useful on windy days for use on the deck. The property also comes with an extensive range of John Lewis china table wear, glasses and cutlery.. We have just purchased some steak knives to address your comment on the knives – thank you.. The “low end” coffee maker you refer to is advertised very clearly in features on our website as a “DeLonghi coffee filter machine”, which is generally regarded as a quality brand, likewise the kettle is Dualit and according to reviews by John Lewis “Dualit are experts at making the very best kettles”. Despite the kettle being descaled regularly we do acknowledge that limescale build up is an issue as the property is in hard water area. The property benefits from a water softener, although the kitchen tap (given it is drinking water) cannot be connected to it, therefore we clean the kettle on a regular basis. With regards to the double bed, we have been renting this newly build property for over a year and to date we have only had compliments about all the beds thus far, it would have been great to have more detailed feedback. Not being a hotel we do not supply additional linen as standard unless specifically requested by guests prior to arrival, we do take great care in ensuring that all beds are made up using high quality Egyptian cotton, however, if you had contacted us on the day of your arrival we would have gladly supplied you with extra linen. We are sorry that you were disappointed with the number of TV’s available in the property (we have 3 in the house which most guests feel is sufficient considering that the house is in a 650 acre nature reserve with so much to do!) and also found the property layout a little confusing, we clearly advertise the number of TV’s on our website and the layout of the bathrooms “A beautiful shower room at the entry of the bedroom is very convenient” and “the nearest WC/Shower is across the corridor and would be shared with guests that are using the ground floor bedroom”. We are also sorry if you did not get an opportunity to check the layout of the property before you booked, we do try to manage our guest’s expectations to the best of our ability & to avoid any confusion or disappointment. It was also unfortunate that you found some cobwebs on the deck, we do undertake regular spider treatments at the property and whilst we try to police spider access to the house the deck is a little more tricky to control & to some degree comes with the “benefits” of being on a nature reserve. Complimentary kayaks & paddles are provided with the property & concierge are on hand to assist if any items are missing or found to be defective. Having reviewed the guest book we note that you, or your other guests, left positive comments about your stay, thank you for sharing those with us.
“Perfect weekend escape for the whole family”
We booked very last minute for a weekend escape and were not disappointed. The lodge has a real wow factor from the moment you walk in. We all found our own space to chill in the lounge / kitchen diner and we were lucky enough to be able to use the deck fro breakfast and coffee as the weather was better than expected. We even used the kayak on the first morning as the lake was totally calm. The master suite is absolutely stunning, the size of a small house! The lodge has absolutely everything you need, including gadgets galore as well as practical things like a hand held mini DustBuster, a washing machine and lots of towels etc for the spa. We didn't use the spa itself though the children spent a couple of hours playing basketball.. We were all so chilled, after just two nights we felt like we had been away for a week. Just what we needed and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended , and plenty to do close by as well including charming Cirencester.
“Peace and relaxation”
If you are looking to get away from life and indulge in complete peace and relaxation, then this is the place. The location and surroundings are something special to wake up to in the mornings. The property itself gives you 5 star luxury and plenty of space, We had some young children with us and they had lots of room to play and stay out of the way of the adults, It's also a very social property due to the open plan living space. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this property to people looking to relax and recharge the batteries.
