“Great house, lovely host, great setting, perfect!”

Reviewed 22 Nov 2015

We were a group of 6 old friends looking for a house for us to have a long overdue get together for the weekend. The Barn was perfect, with a large space downstairs to relax and spend time together and a table for us to enjoy meals together (and dance around in the evening). There were 2 bedrooms which meant sharing rooms (and beds in some cases) but being a group of close friends, this didn't bother us for the 2 evenings we stayed. The small touches made all the difference: the chocolate cake baked by Deborah left on the table on our arrival and the home made flapjacks in the bedrooms. A lovely surprise. The barn was well equipped and had many added value facilities including a gym/fitness room (great after the homemade cakes)! The barn was a short stroll from the town which had good pubs and restaurants. All in all we can't recommend enough and we would certainly return.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. I'm so delighted that you all enjoyed your stay at The Barn. I'd love to welcome you back anytime.

“Lovely Home in the Cotswold Area”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2015

Wow! We were absolutely thrilled with our experience at The Barn Cotswolds. We ran into a flight issue on our way to London that delayed us 33 hours! Our daughter was waiting at Heathrow for us (she had been studying abroad) and we got word to her to catch a bus to The Barn and start the vacation without us! The owner of The Barn, Deborah, was so delightful and so wonderful to our daughter and to us when we finally arrived. Her yard was so suitable for a teenage boy who wanted to mess around with his soccer ball and her mini tennis court! We didn't think we would have time to play around on the property, but we most certainly did just that. The Cotswolds are a lovely area in England and we were so happy we chose the very comfortable Barn to call home for a few days. Deborah and her two genuinely sweet and loving labs are so nice to come home to each day. I highly, highly recommend that you visit The Barn Cotswolds if you get an opportunity.

Owner's reply: Well, after a difficult start to your holiday I'm so pleased you all enjoyed yourselves at The Barn. It was lovely to meet you all and I'm thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. I hope to see you again sometime.

“The Barn is spacious and tastefully appointed, coupled with a friendly welcome from Deborah”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2015

Wonderful accomodation in the sleepy village of Lechlade, Deborah is a great host who adds all the special little touches such as dressing gowns, cake and cookies etc. The Barn is ideally situated on the edge of the village with great local walks, especially suitable if travelling with a dog. The accomation is ideal for a family and benfits from a gym as well as short tennis court, football goalposts and trampoline.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your lovely review and many thanks for taking the time to write it. It was so nice to have you to stay and to know that you enjoyed yourselves whilst you were here.

“Exactly what we needed.”

Reviewed 31 May 2015

The accommodation, hospitality and the breakfasts were all high quality and Deborah's local knowledge was invaluable in guiding us to pleasant dog walks and a very good(and very dog friendly) pub\restaurant. Eminently revisitable.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to have you to stay and if you ever need another break in the Cotswolds please do get in touch it would be lovely to see you again.

“Wish we could have stayed longer”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2014

This was an amazing retreat for our family of 5. The owners was incredibly nice and helpful before and during our stay. Our three young children had a wonderful time on the grounds and thoroughly enjoyed the basketball court, soccer goal, trampoline and resident dogs and guinea pigs. The house is beautifully decorated with a little of little extra touches, like fresh flowers and complimentary pastries. We couldn't have found a more perfect place to spend the short time we had in Cotswold. I would recommend this to anyone. The only drawback to the property was that it was so wonderful we weren't very motivated to leave and explore the Cotswold area. :-) Loved it!

Owner's reply: I'm so pleased you all enjoyed your stay at The Barn. It was a pleasure to meet you all and to see you all getting the most from your time with us. I know the dogs and the guinea pigs will miss all the extra attention! I hope the rest of your trip to England was fabulous. Please come again.

“Beautiful cottage in an excellent location”

Reviewed 22 Sep 2014

The Barn was spotlessly clean, well laid out and kitted out with everything you could possibly need. The welcome we had was amazing (from Deborah and her dogs) with croissants and pastries as a lovely gesture. The location was excellent, close enough to walk in 10 minutes to the centre of Lechlade but far enough out to avoid the noisy hustle and bustle of this popular town. We would definitely look at staying here again the next time we visit our friends. Thank you.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I'm so pleased you all enjoyed staying at The Barn it was a pleasure to have you. We'd love to see you again sometime.

“Amazing escape from the city”

Reviewed 27 Jan 2014

5 friends and I stayed in the barn last weekend, it was amazing, Deborah made the whole booking process really simple and the barn is like a 5* hotel with the added bonus of a lounge , kitchen ( which is really well stocked) and all the added extras you could wish for. The location is great- you can also walk straight from the front door and the local pubs are really welcoming and a great place to while away a few hours in the afternoon. It's a great place for a friends reunion or for a family. I'd recommend to anyone & am looking back to retuning again soon.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your kind comments. I do hope you come back again with the girls. I am now able to offer beauty treatments in The Barn so if you're wanting a bit of pampering let me know!

“Stylish, very comfortable barn in a great location”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2013

We had young children and stayed for the weekend in this gorgeous accommodation. The barn is bright, tastefully furnished and everything is of quality from the towels to the bed linen and crockery which makes for a luxurious and very comfortable stay. Our children loved the pretty garden with its large trampoline and we had access to the bikes to explore the nearby lanes and park. Deborah was helpful and perfect in her manner as a host and we really appreciated the extras such as bread and milk. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. I thoroughly enjoyed having you to stay and I look forward to seeing you again at Easter.

“Cosy, peacefull & affordable”

Cosy barn, large rooms, soothing atmosphere. Price affordable if you are with a large group (up to 6) and share price, especially off season. Owner very friendly and helpfull. Well located to visit the coswalds and Oxford.

“Very lovely and cosy cottage!”

Reviewed 28 Oct 2013

We were a group of 5 girlfriends wanting to spend a cosy w-e in beautiful Cotswolds. The booking was very easy as Deborah replied to us within the day to confirm availability. Once confirmed, she gave us all the useful information. Upon arrival, we were amazed about how lovely, clean and comfortable the cottage looked, with all we needed provided. In fact, it looked better than on pictures and we were pleased to have all of this for the affordable price we paid. Highly recommended!

Owner's reply: Thank you for the kind review and your lovely comments in the guest book. It was a pleasure to have you to stay in the barn. I do hope you all come again. I have started my new venture now with a team of people offering all kinds of beauty treatments from eyebrows to massages or the opportunity to learn some millinery skills or baking so watch this space. And thank you for leaving the barn looking beautifully clean when you left. The perfect guests!
