La Ferme du Tour is a 19th Century French farmhouse that has been beautifully refurbished and furnished, to create a ski-in ski-out chalet full of character.
The entrance opens into the spacious open plan living area and has storage for ski boots. The kitchen is fully fitted and includes a washing machine and the dining table seats 8 comfortably. The rest of this floor is a large, charming lounge with an open fire, and three sets of doors onto balconies. There is also a WC on this floor.
Stairs lead to the first floor where the large landing provides an additional seating area with WIFI, and satellite TV giving a variety of UK channels. The vast master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with twin basins and a bath. The 2nd bedroom is a double and the 3rd is a flexible bedroom meaning it can be set up as a double or twin beds. On this floor there is also a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Steep stairs lead from the landing to a mezzanine room (the 'Crow's Nest') which can either be a twin or a double bedroom, plus 2 child size bunk beds taking the maximum capacity to 10.
Almost all the rooms open onto balconies which run around the building and have sweeping Mountain Views, and there is a small garden with outdoor furniture for dining in the Summer.
Ferme du Tour is a unique property in a ski in/ski out position which makes for a memorable stay.

The Rhône-Alpes region
La Ferme du Tour is in the heart of the hamlet of le Tour, a traditional Savoyarde village at the top end of the Chamonix Valley. It is 11 kms from Chamonix itself, with Argentiere just under 3 kms away (5 minute drive). There are a couple of bars/restaurants in le Tour, a short walk from the chalet. The nearest supermarket and bakery are in Argentiere, plus a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars.
La Ferme du Tour is literally metres from the La Vormaine nursery slopes. The main le telecabine is 200 metres away giving access to the whole of the Domaine du Balme ski area, meaning the chalet is in a rare ski-in, ski-out position. There is also a bus stop very near to the chalet for access to the rest of the ski areas.
Skiing and snowboarding: Chamonix is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18 km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.
Summer and the rest of the year: With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, Chamonix never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb paragliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; canyoning and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; the sports centre has an indoor and outdoor 50 m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, jacuzzi, the list goes on.
