From the owner

L'Ermatage sur le Mer (secluded cottage by the sea) is situated in the quaint fishing village of Grau d'Agde (which has a wonderfully eclectic daily market), at the end of the drive is the River Herault that meanders down to the Mediterranean Sea. As you leave the cottage you can stroll down the river with its cafés, floating restaurants and boat trips. Just beyond you reach the sandy beach of which flies two EU blue flags for quality and environment. There is a choice of either quiet river fishing or fishing off the pier. You can hire boats, Jet skies or windsurfing equipment fat the beach, or you can hire bikes from the village square. For a little more excitement, within a 10 minute drive there is an Aqua park, fun fair, Casino, Aquarium, Go-carting and many sport complexes. There are many Golf courses in the area; the closest Cap D'Agde golf course is a 5 minute drive. Others close by are Golf St Thomas and Lamalou Les Bains - one public and one private. Details are available on request. Or you can wonder the historical cobbled streets of Agde and Pezinas musing at the artists painting or pick up a bargain in the many antique shops. To top it all the wine isn't bad in this area either.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Allison (the owner) a message.

If Allison (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
