Nestled away in the heart of Provence, this ancient ‘mas’, or farmhouse is surrounded by vineyards, olive and fig trees and situated in the tiny hamlet of La Migoua. Five miles up the hill from the charming local village of Le Beausset, with its lively bars, restaurants and shops plus a spectacular open air market Friday market. The interior of this three floor house was completely renovated and redecorated in a bright, traditional style just last year.

Dating back to the 18th century the house comprises a huge kitchen/dining/living room on the ground floor furnished with local antiques, including a marble dining table that seats ten, a terracotta tiled floor and a new washing machine. The kitchen opens on to a dining terrace shaded by a lime tree, the perfect place for eating, drinking and just lounging in a hammock ‘en plein air’. Just off the kitchen is a double bedroom with French doors and a small en suite half-bathroom. On the first floor, at the front is another living room with a huge wood burning fireplace (so enormous you can actually walk into it!) and at the back a light flooded double bedroom with views over the vineyards and a full bathroom.

The top floor contains another bathroom, a double bedroom and two single bedrooms, both with antique wrought iron beds.

Possibly the greatest attraction of La Migoua is its situation. Not just the idyllic bucolic surroundings, but the fact that it is within a short driving distance of some of Provence’s most iconic towns, villages and beaches.
