This beautiful converted barn is in a superb location for exploring both Cornwall and Devon. It is close to main 'A' roads yet quiet and rural. Gospenheale Barn offers a wonderful home from home feel with its quality furnishings and design. Excellently equipped with a large kitchen and living space which is ideal to relax in. The award winning self catering property has flexibility to accommodate families, couples, grandparents and friends. A safe and secure sheltered garden tempts guests to stay all day yet the vast array of activities to do in the area also attracts many guests to return again and again. Beaches, moorland and coastal walks, cycling routes, historic houses and castles, golf courses, great restaurants and theme parks are all easily accessible.

We are proud to announce that Visit England gave us a Recognition Of Service Excellence Award for 2017. Having just one property to care for means we are able to pay great attention to detail and treat our guests as individuals.

The open plan first floor living area has exposed oak A-frames, wooden floors and beautiful views across the patchwork of local farmland with Dartmoor in the distance. The lounge has a digital TV, DVD player, comfy seats and a selection of books, games, toys and DVD's for guests to use. A large kitchen area has been fitted with electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer dryer. The French windows open onto the original granite steps which lead down to the large garden

The master bedroom has a king size bed and an en suite shower room and wc. The twin bedroom has 3 foot beds which can be zipped and linked together to form a very large double on request. There is a further single bedroom with a pull out 2' 6” bed available. A large wooden cot and blackout blinds are also available and supplied on request. The family bathroom has a large bath with a shower over it.

The Barn is separate from the farm and has its own entrance and a South facing sunny secure garden with plenty of room to sit on the patio on the garden furniture provided. Plenty of room to play on the grass with swingball and various other lawn games available. A barbecue with charcoal and tools is included. The car parking area provides plenty of space for 2-3 cars easily.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send David & Bridget (the owner) a message.

If David & Bridget (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
