Great House is a magnificent Grade 2* listed townhouse situated the heart of the charming town of Laugharne which is on the Taf estuary in south-west Wales.

The house is pannelled throughout and has an impressive wealth of historic architectural features. It sleeps 8 adults in four Super King en suite bedrooms, with one adjoining room in the loft area with two additional double beds (ideal for families). With it's high ceilings, soaring windows, wood panelling and sweeping central staircase, the house allows guests to step back in time.

Four poster beds and roll top baths are complemented by welcome modern additions such as a large, well-equipped kitchen and an outdoor heated outdoor pool.

The house is situated at the beginning of the high street. At the other end of the street, the majestic Laugharne Castle overlooks the Atlantic ocean. Once the home of the poet Dylan Thomas, the village has been immortalised as Llaregub in his most famous work ‘Under Milk Wood’.

Close to all the beautiful beaches of the Pembrokeshire coast, the village is a perfect base for exploring all that south west Wales has to offer. The house is as magical in the crisp clear winter weather as it is in summer.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Michelle (the owner) a message.

If Michelle (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
