From the owner

Steeped in history, Chateau Floran started life in the 12th century as a "Donjon", a fortification tower that was a defense outpost for Chateau Latoue. Addition of the stone staircase tower, (and windows & doors!) made it into elegant accommodation. This oldest sect ion of the chateau now forms the gite, with further extensions being made in the 18th century which make up the owners wing.

It sleeps 12 with 6 bedrooms (2 double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms, 2 further doubles, and 2 twin rooms) with 2 family bathrooms. Lounge, & kitchen/dining room, cloakroom, with the original 1m thick walls keeping the house cool during the hot summers. WiFi coverage in all the rooms. It also has a patio, swimming pool (10m x 5m)and summer kitchen.

Set in 20 acres and bordered by the River Noue, it is a place of peace & tranquility. Mature trees in the grounds shelter many birds and other wildlife including deer and wild boar. The pool area provides a refreshing cool-down, or just somewhere to soak up the sun. A summer kitchen allows the family to bbq and al fresco dining. Badminton, croquet & boules sets are provided, and tennis courts can be booked in Latoue. There are many local walks through the woods in the area and the Pyrenees are only 45 mins away. Equestrian centres are located nearby at Aurignac and Sepx. Historical Aurignac is 10mins away with shops and restaurants.

Great villa, wonderful location

Beautiful villa in a lovely peaceful location. Lots of space inside and out. Enjoyed the bike hire and kayaking at nearby Pyrenees. Hope to go back asap.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mj (the owner) a message.

If Mj (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
