The Paphos District

Paphos, a picturesque half-hour drive away, has abundant night-life and restaurants, and cultural attractions such as the world-famous mosaics.

Pafos, with its pleasant harbour and medieval fort, combines a cosmopolitan holiday resort, spectacular countryside and historical sites.
The region offers the possibility of enjoying both sea and mountains, as well as getting a taste of the island's culture with its many archaeological sites.
Feel the romance in the air in the land where Aphrodite, the ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty, once roamed.
Swim in the sea by the rocks known as Petra tou Romiou, where she was believed to have risen from the waves, make a pilgrimage to her sanctuary at Kouklia, or visit the grotto near Polis where she was supposed to have bathed.

Latchi

The village of Latchi is a ten-minute walk away along the beach-side path, and has a picturesque harbour with numerous water-side tavernas, some converted from old stone carob warehouses. They specialise in fish and local produce.

For keen walkers and serioud cyclists the nearby Akamas National Park offers walks, sea views and bracing air. The park is ideal for nature lovers to explore its fantastic landscape and to discover the endless variety of flowers and birds. If you feel like a bit of indulgence on your way back fromt eh Akamas, call in at the magnificent Anassa Hotel for a cream tea to rival the Ritz' but with a stunning view.

Only a short drive or pleasant walk from the villa is the picturesque small town of Polis, where an ancient city kingdom once stood. Now an attractive, popular resort, Polis has kept its original character, and the local tavernas in the pedestrian zone and around the pretty central square offer a large variety of food to suit all tastes and pockets.

“Room with a view!”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2015

This is a great little villa, clean & with everything you need (including aircon - a godsend!) but by far the highlight is the garden with its view over the beach & sea! My husband & I spent most days lounging in the garden followed by a stroll to Latchi harbour or having a barbq on the terrace (barbq supplied). Lots of local minimarts but little in the way of quality meat for barbecuing unless you want chicken & so better to find a big supermarket before arriving in the area. The beach is pebbly but worth going to - we did & managed to see some baby turtles that had just hatched! A great place that we would definately recommend if you want a relaxing place away from it all!

“Greate holiday”

We had a wonderful holiday in this bungalow. The Villa is really proper place for excellent holiday. Neighborhood children were very loud, early in the morning. Highly recommended Mira & Nacko

“beachfront bungalow with tranquil beautiful view”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2015

The service was excellent. The bungalow was fully equipped and tastefully decorated and right on the beach. This was the kind of place I had been looking for , for many years and could not find, before this! You can sit on the bungalow's veranda and its front yard which look on to the beach, and gaze at the surrounding beautiful landscape forever. The view is so wide and encompassing , you can see both the sun rise in the morning and the sun set late into the sea . plus, there is a pedestrian walkway along the sea, great for walking. ti's a beautiful place.

“"Fantastic"”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2013

We have just returned from an 8 day stay at this villa celebrating my husband's 50th birthday and had a lovely time. A few little problems to start with which were dealt with efficiently by Maria & George-one being a plumbing issue which turned out to be next door's problem & the key safe code was not reset back to the original code by the previous guests. The villa has everything that is required to make your stay comfortable-and even has beach towels now available to use. The beach is literally a short walk from the villa-with just the public footpath to cross. We had a hire car which took us over mountain tracks to the blue lagoon-an area of coast renowned for its crystal clear waters-which we visited again on a boat we hired from Latchi harbour. One of the best memories of the holiday was watching a storm at night-out to sea-an unforgettable experience. Would definitely recommend Mel & Cec Gotts April 2013

“Simply Breathtaking!”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2012

Wow , what can I say! You don’t have to travel to the Caribbean for your own piece of paradise. We have just returned from our second year at Latsi Beach Bungalows. We loved it so much our friends rented the next bungalow and fell in love with the area too. The bungalow is one of around 14 spread out along the very peaceful beach even in August. Open the glass doors and step out onto a tiled terrace with a shaded wooden awning with table and chairs. The garden is really an extension of the beach with lots of palm trees. They are not yet fully grown but provide enough shade from the hot sun. At the bottom of the garden is a nice raised decking where you can sunbathe or sit and watch the world pass slowly by. Between the end of the garden and the sea is a lovely path which takes you to Latsi (15 min walk) in one direction and Polis (30 min) in the other. That is in the August heat. You don’t need to hire a car to get about. The garden is great for nature watching. There were a few little lizards but one bigger one who was there last year so it felt like he was our own pet. There were shrieks of delight and lots of picture taking when we saw a chameleon. Last year we did see a turtle on the beach but we were not lucky enough this year. This bungalow is exceptionally well maintained and has all the kitchen equipment you need for a self catering holiday. The lounge area has a comfy sofa and chair, not that we spent any time inside at all except to watch a little bit of the Olympics on the television. There is a good selection of books, magazines etc. There is also a needle and thread kit. Nice personal touches. There is also a dining table and chairs in the bungalow. Leaning on the breakfast bar in the kitchen area and looking beyond the lounge into the garden is an amazing view. It’s quite breathtaking. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds are really comfortable. There is plenty storage space with lots of coat hangers. The main entrance to the bungalow has a parking space for a car and a nice little garden area. The whole area is delightful. Considering Latsi has a lovely marina all the surrounding restaurants are very reasonably priced. Polis has lots of character and charm with a bustling little square in the evening. Here too, all the restaurants are well priced with many offering set menus. We are already planning a third visit.
