A dream house with glorious sea views, Blanches House is set in a peaceful and secluded location in 2.5 acres of sheltered, south-facing gardens and surrounded by unspoilt countryside.

Situated between Looe and Fowey, the spectacular National Trust coastline is a 10 minute walk from the garden down an exquisite, almost private valley. Lansallos Cove, an ideal swimming beach and perfect for children, is also within easy walking distance. The fishing village of Polperro and the vibrant port of Fowey are a short drive away.

Blanches House provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to nine people, with a farmhouse kitchen, expansive living room and hallway, 5 bedrooms (one downstairs), 2 bathrooms and an additional WC. Outside there are lovely private sitting out areas overlooking the valley and sea, several terraced lawns and lots of secret gardens to explore.

For large groups, we can accommodate a further five people next door in Blanches Cottage, the original character cottage.

We include a Cornish cream tea on arrival, free wireless broadband, delicious natural spring water and complimentary access to Fowey Hall Hotel's luxurious pool.

Blanches House would suit families (we are fully geared up for babies and small children), walkers (including the four-legged variety), bird-watchers, garden lovers and those who simply wish to get away from it all while staying in a spacious well-equipped family home surrounded by nature.

Two well behaved dogs welcome. There is a supplement charge of £20 per dog and payment for them to be taken by cash on arrival or bank transfer prior to arrival.

Blanches House and Cottage, the cottage next door, share the 2.5 acres of gardens. They have their own entrances and separate outside seating areas and BBQ's for al fresco dining.

The accommodation consists of a fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with a banquet sized dining table and a beamed and expansive drawing room and galleried hallway, both with large wood burners.

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, a king, double and 2 twins. Three enjoy beautiful views down the garden and valley to the sea. Two have wash hand basins. There is a large shower room (2 basins) with WC.

Downstairs, there is a single bedroom (with an additional pull-out bed) suitable for someone who can't manage the stairs, with another large bathroom with clothes washing facilities alongside. This section can be closed off from the rest of the house and has its own entrance onto the parking area so it would make the perfect self-contained annex for a nanny.

There is an additional WC downstairs.

The house is centrally heated. There is wireless broadband and delicious water from our private spring. We have an iPod player, so you can bring your favourite music.

Outside there are several wonderful seating areas overlooking the valley and sea, terraced lawns, pockets of secret gardens to explore and a large tree house to play in.

We include Guest Membership at the wonderful local Fowey Hall Hotel & Spa where you will have use of the heated indoor pool and hot tub.

Many thanks for the review. We've very glad you had a good birthday break! Blanches has hosted many family celebrations over the years for groups of 2 up to 14+ people. We accept dogs and we're fully geared up for babies and small children. The valley below the house is stunning but for beach access it's easiest to walk along the lane and down the Church path to lovely Lansallos Cove. If it's too cold for a swim, there's always the Fowey Hall Hotel Spa's indoor pool - we offer complimentary access for our guests.
