“A peaceful retreat”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2013

If you want peace and quiet then this is the place set on a hillside with lovely views across the countryside down to the river running at the bottom of the garden. You can see the accommodation in the pictures and it is every bit as good as it looks. The village of Payzac only a short walk and the beach park at Rouffiac a short drive this is a great place for families to spend the day with boating, canoeing and skiing. The town of Pompadour is not far away and is great for its markets and restaurants there is also horse riding just the other side of Pompadour where the people were very friendly and my daughter enjoyed some hacking cross country and along the lovely country lanes and was very reasonably priced about 20 euros for an hour and a half. The race course is a must place to visit on race day. Great place to stay.
