As featured in the Guardian 10 best vineyard stays, the barn is set in the owners' 9 acres of grounds overlooking their vineyard. It is home to Smith and Evans award winning sparkling wine , with panoramic views across the Somerset Levels, as far as the Blackdown Hills and Exmoor. Tastefully renovated, the property is furnished to a good standard throughout offering all the modern conveniences you would expect, yet has retained many character features including exposed stone walls.The immediate area is ideal for nature lovers, in fact our Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) can be accessed on foot directly from the garden allowing you to discover ancient woodlands and rare orchids. The Somerset Levels offer many nature reserves and are a paradise for bird watchers and it is not uncommon for people to see 50 or more species during a visit including Cranes, Bitterns and of course the famous starling murmurations. In late spring evenings it is also sometimes possible to enjoy the sound of Nightingales. The local area is a cooks paradise with Organic Farm shops, great butchers and artisan bakers. The barn is well located in a rural position yet central to many attractions including Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, Muchelney Abbey and Clarks Village shopping outlet. The historical cities of Bath, Bristol and Wells, with its cathedral, are within easy reach as are the Quantocks and Exmoor which both offer stunning moorland walks and many quaint villages to discover. In the evenings there are a wide selection of local pubs renowned for their great food and Cider, or you can relax in the private garden area and enjoy the evening sunshine with a glass of wine overlooking the vineyard. We welcome well behaved dogs although nothing larger than a Labrador please. There is a £20 fee for cleaning if you bring your pet. The double bedroom and has an ensuite sink and toilet. The upstairs bathroom includes a power shower and whirlpool bath and the Kitchen is well equipped with Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Microwave and all the crockery and pans you could need. There is a large television and we do have Wifi available.

The England region

Somerset has everything from great coastal scenery to the iconic atmospheric levels which teem with wildlife. It is quintessential English countryside without the crowds that you get in Devon and Cornwall. There is plenty to do including the famous caves at Cheddar and Wookey Hole, Beautiful cities such as Wells and Bath. Glastonbury is only 10 miles away.

Langport

The area is a haven for wildlife including reintroduction of species such as the Large Blue Butterfly and the Great Crane. It is a foodie's paradise with many organic farm shops, Brown and Forrest smokery, numerous Cider Farms as well as our own vineyard. Because it isn't crowded with Tourists you get a real feel of the authentic English Countryside.
