Location description from owner

The Western Australia region

Lancelin coastal township hosts many adventure sports, both marine and land based. Lancelin's pristine shores and sheltered bays, all back dropped by offshore reefs and both Lancelin and Edward Islands, offer you one of Australia's most beautiful coastal settings. The chilled-out coastal lifestyle makes for a truly relaxing and/or exciting getaway.

Most places are within walking distance of the apartment. Sand dunes are a 2 minute drive away - in your car or 4 wheel drive / bike. Sand boards and surf kites, wind kites are all available to hire at various locations in town if you do not bring your own. Getting to the back beach (5 mins) requires a car - you could walk it with your surfboard or body board. Tinnies or boats will get you on th

Lancelin

Lou's Place is one of sixteen apartments in the complex.

It is situated on the ground floor. So limited mobility is no issue, nor is the safety of children - you do not have to access the apartment by any stairs inside or outside the apartment.

It is private accommodation and fully self contained.

There is a shared outdoor area just beside my apartment and shared clothes lines (one north and one south side of the building).

You are free to use the outdoor area as you please. It has a large table and plenty of space on the bench seats. Just a five minute walk north is a large barbeque and playground area for anyone to use. There is also a playground area across the northern side block.

“Personal and charming”

Lou's place is deceiving from the outside as you open up inside you instantly feel the special touch and length Lou goes to for her guests. The apartment is clean and has everything you need. We liked the fact there was a washing machine and kitchen to keep normal extras families endure when on holiday to a minimum. Its proximity to the beach, jetty and endeavour pub was great. The shower was large and did the trick after a day of sand boarding and swimming. We travelled with two girls aged 9 and 11 and they didn't stop playing all the family board games that lou has left for her guests to enjoy. Other extras are beach toys for the kids which they used to build some pretty good sand castles and although we didn't use them as we had them, the picnic baskets and fold up chairs are all extras you don't always see included. The fold out lounge comfortably slept the girls but obviously if you want to watch tele late at night, your options were limited. We took this as a good option to turn the idiot box off and get into that book we have been wanting to read. The fans cooled the apartment well in 30 degree days as the location to the beach provided good breezes which the apartments wide windows took full advantage of. This apartment isn't huge, but the four of us went to Lancelin to enjoy getting out and about and really just used it to sleep and relax in after hours. The bathrooms lighting could be improved but if thats the worst thing we have to say I think we are doing ok. What stood out for us was Lou's personal approach and effort in trying to please her guests, the apartment is well priced for someone to not over analyse the fact they aren't in a larger apartment and use the experience to get closer as a family. I honestly think the way Lou was the deal with put us all in a good mood for the weekend and we come away all the better for it. Good luck.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your honest and fair feedback, it is very important to me. I will use this to continue to enhance my future guests’ experience, every way possible. I know that time spent away is precious, and so are the comforts of 'home'. This I work on constantly to ensure all are catered for. Couples, as well as couples with a small family. It is heartening to hear that you had a real family holiday and enjoyed your stay. I am happy that Lou's Place provided this for you. You took special care of the apartment, and this is very much appreciated! I appreciate that you have taken the time to share your experience with other travelers, and help them in their decision making to also stay at Lou’s Place. I hope that you will consider staying again in the future. You are very welcome, anytime. Lou.
