Highly recommended that you try Lamlash Bay Hotel, Glenisle Hotel, The Pier Head Tavern, The Drift Inn and The Old Pier café - all just a relaxing walk along the seashore. A short hop across the Firth of Clyde on one of the frequent ferries from Ardrossan or via Claonaig on the Kintyre peninsula brings you to a different world..

Location description from owner

The Scotland region

The Isle of Arran offers something for everyone. Great walking, challenging climbing, lots of outdoor pursuits and plenty of cosy bars and restaurants. Increasingly Arran is gaining a reputation for fine food and most restaurants highlight local produce with cooking styles to suit every taste. Just a short hop on the frequent ferries from Ardrossan in Ayrshire or Claonig on Kintyre the Island could be hundreds of miles away from the hussle of urban living. For more information check out the Visit Arran website.

Lamlash

Lamlash village sits in a sheltered bay on the east of the Island dominated by Holy Isle. The village retains plenty of character and is an ideal base for any holiday being less than 10 minutes drive from the main ferry terminal in Brodick. Linkfield is located less than 100m from the sea and a short stroll along the front brings you to several lovely craft shops including The Curtain House and also The Drift Inn, The Old Pier Café and Glenisle Hotel. The house is also well located for Lamlash Golf Club and there is a bus stop 150m away if you don't want to bring your car. Arran ferry fares have reduced substantially making the Island a truly affordable destination.
