“Everything described.......and more !”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2016

We recently stayed at Larchwood and Lechlade lodges for a family celebration. There were three generations and from the oldest 86 through to the youngest at 12 there was something for everyone. Firstly let me say the standard of accommodation and furnishings are first class a real home from home with one outstanding exception....The Views ! Whether it be sunrise or sunset or whether your outside or in looking through the panoramic windows the lakeside setting is exceptional. We kayaked, cycled, walked used the beautiful Spa and drank the odd bottle of champagne. All in stunning environmentally managed parkland which is full of wildlife. A truly memorable long weekend. The organization , administration and service from Stephanie and the team from start to finish made this a stress free event . Many thanks to you all

“Exceptional”

A fantastic property, and all round experience - one that (...incredibly!) fully lives up to the high expectations set by the many other positive reviews. Extremely well managed support also provided by the owners. Faultless - and highly recommended.

“A beautiful house with stunning views! A very relaxing time had by all.”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2015

Me my husband and our 3 boys (20, 17, 11) stayed in this beautiful house Monday-Monday. My husband and our sons loved going out on the lake in the canoes provided by the house while I relaxed on the decking watching over them. to wake up to the view over the lake was just breathtaking. The swimming pool and gym are very nice and well looked after in fact the whole grounds are very well kept. The house was very clean and well equipped, very comfortable the décor was stunning. Even thou there are a few other houses on the same lake they are very well spaced so it still feels very private and peaceful. My 11 year old keeps asking when we can go back so we are definitely going to be returning! what an amazing find! we will definitely be recommending to everyone.

“Outstanding weekend in beautiful surroundings”

We stayed at Larchwood Lodge for the weekend and had a brilliant time. The Lodge is amazing and really does have that "wow" factor. The Lodge is spacious and spotlessly clean. The owners certainly have great taste, it is decorated and furnished to the highest standards, The kitchen is very well equipped, it was a joy to stay in and cook a special meal for the family. The bedrooms are fantastic with en suites and nice comfy beds, all overlooking the lake. It was a joy to wake up in the morning and see the swans swimming elegantly past the window. Having one of the double bedrooms and shower room on the ground floor is very convenient. The decking that runs the full length of the Lodge is also very well furnished and has a large barbeque. You could not wish for a more idyllic setting. There is plenty to see and do around the complex with nice walks and an amazing Spa. We also really enjoyed going out on the lake in the rowing boats and kayaks. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home, a great time was had by us all.

“Fabulous lake house that met our expectations & so much more!”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2015

We have just returned from a brilliant three night stay at Larchwood Lodge. Celebrating our friends birthday. Where to start? We arrived a little earlier than expected and the house was ready for us - immaculate, beautiful and with everything you could wish for - ready and waiting. There are four stunning bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms, a huge open plan living area and large deck/balcony with breath taking views over the lake. Once we had got our breath back, the very welcome Champagne was opened and our celebrations began! I cannot remember how many times we repeated to each other how stunning the view over the lake is - you get this view from every single room in the house, it is truly spectacular. There are numerous things about the house that we were impressed with - the well stocked kitchen - the comfy beds - beautiful decor throughout - the peaceful setting - canoes and life jackets - large BBQ (didn't use this but may have done had we realised) - champagne on arrival - the swan & baby ducklings I could go on and on (& on). A highlight during our stay was eating out on the deck on Saturday evening. We had made plans to go out for dinner, but the deck has its own sun trap and we just couldn't imagine anywhere we'd rather be in the world than together overlooking this beautiful lake. (There's a huge table inside and outside which is another definite bonus). We spent the evening eating, drinking, laughing and as the sun set again we couldn't get over the perfect setting and fabulous house. We did manage to drag ourselves out a couple of times. We went for a walk through the fabulous grounds ... It's easy to get lost - be warned!! The lovely security man came to our rescue & helped us home with tales of him being a Gurkha!!! We met Mikey at the spa too who was very friendly and helpful. We also ventured into Boughton on the water for Sunday lunch & a cream tea. Lovely as that is, we were again pleased to arrive back to our lovely base and again spent Sunday evening watching the sun setting from our balcony. Wonderful weekend at Larchwood Lodge which I think would be very difficult to beat, anywhere! One word to describe the whole experience would be AMAZING. Thank you to the owners for sharing it with us .... I certainly wouldn't be brave enough to rent it out, so thank you! We dream of returning one day (the sooner the better).

“Great setting for a surprise 60th celebration!”

Thank you so much to all the team who helped in making our weekend at Larchwood such a wonderful one. The lodge is fantastic, its very well equipped and the attention to detail is superb. The spa is beautiful and it was really good to be able to use it. All in all a really great place to celebrate my dad’s surprise getaway!

“Perfect in every way!”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2014

Larchwood Lodge is absolutely gorgeous - from the minute we arrived we were impressed. Having a luxurious hamper of goodies to greet us with a bottle of chilled champagne certainly eased away the stress of a long drive. Sumptuous interiors, with everything you could ask for from toys for the kids, an impressive cinema screen, molton brown products everywhere, a well stocked kitchen, to up to date magazines to enjoy whilst relaxing in the egg chairs. I want to go back now! The on-site spa was excellent, our children loved the pool and spent hours in there. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our party of 4 adults and 3 children had a wonderful stay. We hope to return in the summer months and make use of the lake. Many thanks to Kasha for a wonderful holiday home.

“Relaxing Retreat from the Concrete Jungle”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2013

My husband and I live in the heart of London in what I like to call "the concrete jungle." We recently took a trip to the Cotswolds and stayed at the Larchwood Lodge. As we entered the property grounds I could feel my entire body relax. The smell of the fresh, crisp air cleansed us and the gorgeous fall colors brought smiles to our faces. When entering the home we found a welcome basket and bottle of champagne. It was a lovely touch. During our stay we took advantage of some of the services offered and indulged in the use of a private chef and a masseuse for an in-home treatment. They truly added to the experience. As someone who runs a travel consulting business, I would confidently recommend Larchwood Lodge to my clients and friends.
