Description

The Carriage House is located in Lakeport at Clear Lake - California's largest natural lake. We are within 2 hours of San Francisco, Sacramento and the coast and just about one hour to the Napa Valley; water sports, world class bass fishing and all sorts of outdoor recreation abound!

You'll find many other things to do - visit nearby wineries, scout-out nearby antique shops, try your luck at the Indian Casinos or just relax at The Carriage House watching TV, reading or playing games. Whatever you choose to do, you'll return home refreshed.

"The Carriage House" is one of the best-kept secrets in Lakeport. Located right off Main Street, 1/2 block from Clear Lake, The Carriage House is a quiet retreat with the ambience of a fine B&B. The Carriage House recently received a four pear rating by the Lake County Marketing Program's Lodging Rating System. Participating facilities were inspected and assigned a rating. The fundamental hallmarks of the 4 pear level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.

This upscale cottage shares the beautifully landscaped grounds of one of Lakeport's loveliest historic homes. Built by Herbert Keeling in 1906, the Carriage House has been completely remodeled to serve as a quiet get-away.

We have fitted the 1200 square-foot cottage with period furnishings as well as all the modern amenities. Each of the two bedrooms has its own private bath. With its quiet downtown location, The Carriage House comfortably sleeps six and is perfect for family vacations, two couples traveling together, business travelers, or a romantic getaway.

You'll enjoy relaxing or sunning yourself with a favorite book on the beautiful patio area of this romantic cottage. When you're ready to BBQ, you'll find everything is provided. You can shop for your favorite cut of meat at one of the nearby markets.

There is covered parking for your boat and vehicles and a public boat launch is just 100 yards away. Other launching facilities are a few blocks away.

Anglers enjoy fly fishing, bow fishing, sport fishing, recreational fishing, fishing derbies, and fishing tournaments at many lakes and reservoirs in the county. Known as the Bass Capital of the West, Clear Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake. Hike to the top of Mt. Konocti, our region’s volcano. From the top you’ll have a sweeping view of Clear Lake and on a clear day you’ll be able to see Mt. St. Helena and Mt. Lassen.
