The Finca is part of a scattered hamlet which is located approximately 3km from the Lake. The property has been sympathetically restored to retain the features of a traditional Spanish Finca. Accommodation is divided into two separate units, with the owners, Keith and Carol, living in the main part of the Finca . They will respect your privacy, but, will be available if you require any help or advice. Vinuela

In addition to the larger towns of Torre del Mar and Velez Malaga where there is a hypermarket and modern shopping mall, nearer are the villages of Puente don Manuel and Vinuela where basic supplies can be obtained. There are a number of restaurants in the area, in particular, Chez Spice a traditional Indian and Miguels in Los Romanes, excellent steaks! As well as being a great place to get away from it all, the area is also perfect for outdoor activities, especially walking and bird watching. The picturesque lake at Vinuela is approximately 10 minutes drive away and is ideal for walking and enjoying the wonderful scenery. There are several golf courses along the coast. Granada and the Alhambra Palace can be reached in around 1.5 hours.

“Fabulous holiday!”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2016

Had a great week enjoying the beautiful property and views. Location was great. The annexe was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Close to a number of small towns worth visiting. Would highly recommend this property.

Thanks for your kind comments and it was lovely to meet you both. Hope you had a good trip back to Canada.

“Excellent location”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2015

Have just returned from a weeks stay at The Annexe and it lived up to our expectations. Keith and Carol have done a great job and make you very welcome. Everything you need is there great pool, two outside dining areas, bbq, towels and comfy sun beds, inside is fully equipped as well. It's location is very quiet and peaceful but not too far from the coast. We have stayed at a few different fincas and Finca Anna has been the best one. We would certainly stay there again. Tommy and Honey are also wonderful hosts Tommy will also reserve a sun bed for you. Thank you again for a great stay Keith & Carol.

“Secluded piece of Spanish Heaven!”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2015

After a traumatic few family weeks to arrive to stay with Keith and Carol at their wonderful Annexe up in the hills was bliss. Being met by them for the journey up as it was dark was a great introduction to the hills. Our hosts respected our privacy but were on hand to answer all the silly questions that we had. Honey and Tommy checked up on us every morning as well as at intervals during the day and were great company. Scenery was stunning and the white villages wonderful. A visit to Malaga by bus along the coast and a visit to the Picasso Museum was our bit of culture after eating at La Mensula II in Calle Trinidad Grund. Eating sardines and calamari at El Boqueron on the front at Torre del Mar after a walk along the front superb! Overall a wonderful holiday in a wonderful location with wonderful hosts. We hope to be back. John & Anne

“Wonderful holiday annexe where everything is perfect.”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2014

We were met with a warm welcome by Carol, Keith, Tommy & Honey. The annexe is very comfortable and clean with everything we needed including any little extras in the kitchen. It was a fantastic holiday, peaceful & relaxing, with views from the annexe being incredible, including nearby views of the lake. We enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden and playing in the pool (it's a knock out!) The silence is so peaceful......Were sitting here writing this and trying to think of things that could have improved our holiday and we both could think of nothing....... apart from staying another week. :) We would definitely recommend staying here - it's a little gem and we look forward to returning. A few people have mentioned the rustic road up to the annexe but we found it was no problem. Ps. Tommy is able to work the peddle bin in the kitchen the little tinker :) Mr & Mrs T September 2014

“Our stay at Finca Anna - The Annexe”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2014

We have just returned from 2 weeks holiday at Finca Anna (the Annexe). The Annexe is very well presented, with all the mod cons that one could possibly want, including English T.V. - The views from the Annexe are stunning, and well worth the ride up to the Finca on the mountain road. Whilst the road is slightly difficult, it is not impossible for the average driver to get up, and it wouldn`t put us off going again. The pool and grounds are lovely, and Carol and Keith are excellent hosts and certainly do not impose in any way. We have so enjoyed a super two chilled-out weeks at Finca Anna, and would recommend this holiday to anyone who wants to experience the real Spain. We have also enjoyed visiting the Spanish surrounding white villages, where there are some excellent restaurants to be found. All in all, a lovely holiday in beautiful surroundings.

“Tranquility in unspoilt Andalucia”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2014

Tha Annexe at Finca Anna exudes the charm and rustic atmosphere of Andalucia but lacks nothing of comfort or amenity for a couple wanting to enjoy a peaceful location, yet having good facilities closeby. Carol and Keith are great hosts giving unselfish and discrete access to their beautiful garden and pool, yet offering warm hospitality, advice and the assurance of being closeby if needed. Tommy and Honey, their wee dogs, offer an extra homeliness with their morning visists and walking company. The location is beautiful - don't be offput by the challenging drive up to the finca - you soon get used to it! and we enjoyed some limited exploration of the area and a day trip to La Alhambra at Granada - wonderful! But, above all, we just loved the tranquility and charm of this delightful wee place. We shall return.

“An idyllic spot,so relaxing with panoramic views a great pool and superb hosts”

Off the beaten track, this mountain side Finca is ideal if you want to experience authentic Andalucia. With wonderful views of open countryside and mountains the accommodation is perfect and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The owners are so helpful and friendly and although they live in close proximity to the annexe they are discreet and so very helpful.

“Magical getaway”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2013

We just loved this retreat. It had everything. Cosy accommodation and a nice outdoor space. Great walks from the door - turn left and take a wonderful stroll to the Buddhist Stupar, on the way see a beautiful view of the lake and find almonds, wildlife. Lovely swimming pool, nice places to eat and spectacular places to visit (although we didn't visit them as we wanted a real chill out break). Carol and Keith great hosts - there if you need something but seemingly invisible the rest of the time. Oh and we loved the ride to Finca Anna - such fun.

“Perfect hideaway in the hills!”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2013

We have visited the Finca Anna 5 times and we love it! The accommodation is perfect, very comfortable and very well equipped to cook great meals. The patio is lovely for sitting out in the evening. The pool is just right and a welcome break from the heat. The owners are very friendly with helpful information about the local area, and although they are next door the Annex still feels very private. Don't be put off by the drive up to it, once you've done it a couple of times its fine and the views are well worth it! Do a shop at the large supermarket in Velez Malaga first, on your way to the Annex. The local shops, a drive back down the track, are then ideal for any extras. The Annex is a perfect spot for a truly relaxing holiday.

“Great holiday!”

Had 6 days here in October and had a great time. The accommodation is excellent and the views are to die for. We both enjoyed our visits from Honey and Tommy each morning! One recommendation when you hire a car hire a car make sure that it is at least 1400cc as the get to the cottage is like going'on the big ride in Blackpool'! We did struggle in our little Fiat Pander but soon learnt how to get up the hills! Would stay here again without doubt. Thanks once again Keith and Carol.
