Getting around

Laggan is located in the Cairngorm National Park. As such I would highly recommend having a car to get around and see the local area. There are train services to Newtonmore & Kingussie, however there are no onward local bus or taxi services from there to Laggan. You can get to Laggan by train by going to Kingussie or Newtonmore – both are on the main route for all trains travelling to Inverness. There is a direct service from Edinburgh stopping at these stations every 3 hours and another service every 1.5 hours with one change. There are very limited bus services in the local area because of the rural location and so if you have anyone in your group arriving by train, they would need to be picked up from the station.

“Comfortable, well equipped home from home”

Spent a lovely week in Corrie Bhuie. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and a great location to explore central Scotland from.

A very well equipped cottage in beautiful location . Plenty of room for our family of 5. Great log burner. So much to explore in the surrounding area, we will definitely return . Thank you so much .

“Perfect Christmas Hideaway”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2016

We stayed here for a week at christmas, myself, partner, mum and dad, sister and her partner and the dogs! We all loved it, it was perfect and so christmassy Fiona had decorated the whole house and it just gave it such a cosy feel, the log fire in the dining room was perfect for christmas dinner, its nestled in the mountains and every morning there was snow on the hill tops, we even have christmas eve snow! would definutely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break as we could not fauly anything at all, all good praise!!

“Lovely cottage in a lovely location”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2014

The cottage was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. Every possible need was thought of and catered for from baby wipes to a dvd player in the bedroom for the older children. If you were travelling with a baby then everything you need is likely to be in the cupboard in the kitchen. We really enjoyed eating family meals and playing games, sitting by the wood burner. The bed in the master bedroom was the comfiest I have ever slept in and I really wanted to take it home with me! It was like sinking into a fluffy white cloud. There was a good selection of games, both board and electronic for the children to play. The wii appealed to the older children and came with a good selection of games. We have a lot of fantastic memories. It was a good base to get to Fort William, Aviemore etc.

“A lovely place to relax!”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2014

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary in October with our 2 dogs. It was a beautiful (deceptively large) cottage with everything we needed for our stay and more. It would be a fantastic base to explore Scotland from however we just wanted to eat lots of good food, stay cozy next to the log burning stove and walk the dogs on Laggan Beach which was fabulous! Fiona was very helpful and responded quickly whenever we contacted her. I would highly recommend the cottage and we hope to go back in the future.

“A perfect highland getaway!”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2013

We stayed at Corrie Bhuie at Easter 2013. The house was perfect for our needs....spacious, cosy and well equipped. The bedrooms upstairs are very generous in size and having 2 living areas down stairs was an added bonus! The house has been recently renovated and is in mint condition with fresh paint work and bright decor. Laggan is great place for hill walkers, mountain bikers or those wanting to get away on the rat race. There is a pub/hotel within 1/2 mile of the house and both the food and service are first class. The hotel has recently changed ownership and the new Australian owners will make you feel very welcome!
