CORRIEBHUIE COTTAGE

Traditional stone detached cottage set in an idyllic Scottish Highland countryside in the 'Monarch of the Glen' village of Laggan situated in the South West of the Cairngorms National Park with opportunities for exploring the local countryside and its wildlife. It is also an excellent central base for touring by car, taking in the rest of the National Park or travelling further afield both east and west to Glencoe, Loch Ness and the west coast of Scotland, including Skye.

A tastefully decorated cottage for couples, groups and families. A beautiful combination of traditional charm and modern comforts. Set in the picturesque Cairngorms National Park with spectacular views & country setting. An ideal base for walking, climbing, mountain biking, skiing, fishing and golf. Laggan Wolftrax mountain bike trail centre is a short ride away and the cottage is ideally placed for skiing with Cairngorm and Nevis Range both a 45 minute drive.

The dining room has a wood burning stove and large dining table and the kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, slow cooker and a wide range of cooking equipment. The lounge has fantastic mountain views and is the perfect place to relax with a fire, cosy sofas, TV, DVD and games. There is downstairs toilet, utility space and drying room, ideal for drying wet outdoor gear.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, a large double room with a king size bed and en-suite, a large twin room and a family bathroom. Downstairs there is a smaller internal twin bedroom. The property comes equipped with a baby cot, high chair and stair gate.

The cottage has a private garden with a BBQ and seating to enjoy the spectacular views across the glen. Bikes can be securely stored. Cars can be parked directly outside the property.

From the cottage there are walks and cycle rides in Strathmashie Forest, where there are a number of low level forest trails and in Sherramore Forest the wild deer gather on Summer evenings. Next door is Laggan Stores which does breakfast, lunch and excellent coffee & cake. The nearby villages of Newtonmore & Kingussie are only 10 minutes away with shopping and all essential amenities.

Within 5-15 minute drive are the following attractions, Dalwhinnie Distillery, Laggan Beach and forest walks in the beautiful Ardverikie Estate, Highland Folk Museum, Highland Wildlife Park and art galleries in Kingussie.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Megan (the owner) a message.

If Megan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
