Description from owner
The Coach House is a unique detached former coaching house to the Old Vicarage. Surrounded by open fields and woodland, with fabulous views to the Marlborough Downs, perfect for long walks perfect for long walks and total relaxation.
Enormous open-plan main reception room (30ft x 16ft) with kitchen area at one end and wood burning stove at the other. Large comfy sofas and chairs to relax in, a table and chairs for dining. A huge glass window replaces the original entrance allowing the sun to flood the room with light and enhance the view of the original cobbled court yard.
Downstairs there is also a study room with single French day bed and seperate loo and sink.
Huge Master bedroom with Superking Double bed, en-suite bathroom and french windows opening onto balcony.
The large second bedroom has twin beds bedroom with en-suite shower and wet room, there is also a matching balcony. Lie in bed and watch the sunrise and in the evening, the moon appear over the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
Fabulous walks or cycle rides straight from the property, even to the local pub! Almost daily sightings of wild deer, birds such as pheasant and woodpecker and if up early enough the crafty fox!
Enjoy use of the tennis court or relax on sun loungers by the out door pool within its' own secluded walled garden.
Free range eggs for sale and in spring see the new born lambs frolicking in the field.
Delicious homemade cake and tea on arrival, with a bottle of wine ready chilled in the fridge.

The swimming pool is set within its' own completely sheltered and secluded walled garden making it secure. It is covered by a solar thermal cover and fully heated, thanks to our new bio-mass heating system. Open Approx 1st May - 30th Sept. If the weather is good we will open it earlier.

“A Farm Stay with added Luxury”
Fiona welcomed us to Coach House with home made marmalade and muffins. Our 2 year old loved visiting the baby lambs and exploring the garden. The house is luxurious but retains the charm and character of a farm stay. The house was lovely to relax in and looks over the grounds which this Easter were covered in daffodils. It was a drizzly weekend but felt lovely and cosy in between enjoying the farm, Lacock plus 15 mins drive to Bowood - absolutely fantastic play for children 0-12 years. Thank you so much Fiona and family.

“Didn't want to go home!”
The coach house has been beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished with very comfy beds and quality bed linen, the owners Fiona and Matthew are very friendly and relaxed and are on hand to help if needed at any time but without being intrusive, lovely grounds, plenty of space to walk dogs or play ball, tennis courts and pool a bonus, lovely views, I imagine spectacular views in summer we went in April weather was unpredictable. Lots of highly rated pubs in the surrounding areas to eat, we had a lovely roast at the Black swan in Devizes. Stonehenge and NT Lacock village worth a visit.

“Lovely house in a beautiful location”
We had a long weekend in the Coach House in November, it was warm and welcoming and the log burner made it very cosy. I was the perfect base to explore Avebury and Wiltshire. Fiona's gift of homemade muffins were delicious and much appreciated after getting lost on the way there!

“Lovely cottage and gorgeous scenery”
We spent the weekend in this beautifully renovated cottage. The surroundings are stunning- great for long walks! The living / kitchen area is a great social space, the rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. Fiona was helpful and very kind to us. We would definitely go again!

“Fantastic Holiday Accomodation”
When visiting the UK from Australia we would not miss staying at the Coach House. We stayed a week at "The Coach House" in early June. 2015...again! It was our second visit to this wonderful home, having spent a week here in 2013, and really enjoying the experience. It is such a beautiful, relaxing and well appointed home away-from-home for us, with Fiona and Matthew being helpful and perfect hosts. Fiona has always greeted us with a special personal welcome as well as a treat (this time) with some of her special home made marmalade another goodies. We love staying here as it is a great base to visit the many beautiful treasures that surround it. We hope to be back ASAP!

“Nice family holidays”
We spent a week with our two kids and dog at the coach house. The kids loved the pool and my wife and I the tennis court. Very frindly hosts who even took care of our our dog one day when we've viseted Bath and Bristol. The Coach House is a good starting point to visit the sights in that area. Could have been more dishes but so the dishwasher had to run more ;-)

Beautiful cottage, highly recommended. Fiona was incredibly helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. The children loved the outdoor space, farm animals and the very friendly dogs. Great location. We will be visiting again. Thank you!
Comfortable accommodation, one of the warmest we have stayed in. Its location is idyllic in fabulous countryside with lovely views from the bedroom windows. Fiona, the owner, was attentive and concerned to ensure the stay was a success without being intrusive. The accommodation was excellent, large airy rooms, slept very well in the very comfortable beds, lovely large ensuite bathrooms one with shower one with bath. I would not hesitate to recommend the Coach House to family and friends and given the opportunity would stay again. The location was ideal for visiting various interesting local towns and villages. Shops etc very close by, lovely local walks from the cottage and lots of nice pubs near by.
“Feels like home!”
From the moment we arrived at Coach House we felt like we were at home. The house is spacious, bright, well equipped and welcoming. The little extras, fresh flowers in every room, wine in the refrigerator and cakes on the table, were greatly appreciated upon arrival. The views and walks in the Wiltshire countryside are refreshing. I hope to return to Coach House soon and often!
“Beautiful property and great location”
Three of us stayed for nearly a week in this lovely home: the renovations of the old coach house have been sensitively and practically completed so that it has a comfortable, even luxurious feel. The beds and bedding are of very good quality, the bathrooms clean and large, and the views are spectacular. We cooked for ourselves in the well stocked kitchen. Using this as a base, we visited many of the beautiful little villages nearby, and the significant sites. Fiona made us very welcome. I could not recommend this place more highly.
