Description from owner

The soul of the barn has been retained. As has the incredible feeling of space. Only an imposing window that opens on the north side of the barn breaks with tradition and lets the light flood in through virtually the entire building.

With its 6 bedrooms, 2 sleeping areas, 2 kitchens and 5 comfortable bathrooms, the barn makes the ideal holiday home for 4 families. Or maybe a group of friends or workmates ...

Take a tour through La Grange Du Suc

The Midi-Pyrénées region

The Lot lies at the northern extremity of the Midi-Pyrénées region, which stretches from the confines of the Dordogne Valley to the highest peaks of the Pyrenees, forming the heart of South-West France. The region comprises eight départements created during the reorganisation of government after the Revolutio, each one with a chief city or Préfecture ; which for us is Cahors.

Although small, just over 5200 km2, with a low population density (on average 32 people per square kilometre), the Lot has a rich and varied heritage with differing landscapes, architecture, farming practices and traditions. It can be divided into five main areas, plus the major river valleys, each with its own distinctive personality.

Lacapelle Marival

The ever-changing natural surroundings and rich history of the area provide dream locations such as Figeac, Rocamadour, St. Cirque la Popie, the caves at Padirac, Peche-Merle, the rivers Lot, Dordogne and Célé – and so much more.

“Everything the doctor had ordered.”

La grange du Suc offers everything you'd expect from a vacation house in France. It also comes with some nice features for those seeking absolute tranquility. If you're looking for a break, off the beaten track, away from the madding crowd but in companionship of a bunch of great friends then Le Suc is your place. Look no further if you want to spend some quality time with some friends and or families in one of the least dense populated places in la Douce France. Highly recommended! K

“the perfect stay with my family”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2014

Stayed in Le Suc a few times to enjoy my kids' family and especially my grandchildren. The kids stayed for hours in the swimming pool, but also loved the evenings in the hot tub. The region is known for his good food (best meat came from Saint-Ceré, from the butcher at the corner) and also the Cahors wines. But having a glass of rosé from the Quercy at the terrace under the oak tree is why this place so special to me. Just unforgettable and what a view! wines. But also having a glass of rosé at the terasse under the oaktree. What a view!

“No better place to go with your friends”

Great location, fabulous views, plenty of space and nice amenities to spend your time with family and friends. The wood fire room is the place where the evenings became nights, table conversations ended up in lively discussions for a great part of the night, friendships became even more strengthened, ....

“extremely relaxing environment in spacious and high quality facilities”

ideal for spending time with friends and family in a very beautiful part of france. all necessary facilities available in a private setting basically full freedom for your group to enjoy and relax (great kitchen, swimming pool, hot tub, big garden, cycling, hiking,...)

“The perfect and cheaper alternative for Tuscany and Umbria”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2012

The completely renewed “grange” (French for farmers barn) is situated at first sight in no-man’s-land. As the sun was shining over the frozen fields the first day after arrival, we took our bikes and discovered beautiful waterfalls and ruins. The second day we visited beautiful medieval towns, with local markets offering specialties as 'truffles' We prepared all these freshly bought local ingredients with all of our 12 friends in a nearly professional kitchen infrastructure. The very French syndic René explained that this infrastructure reflects the style of the Belgian owners. We were also offered some local wines and apple juice arrival. Believe it or not, but the third day we went skiing in Le Lioran (a mere 120 km away). When arriving home we enjoyed fondue and at 11 pm most of us dived into the Finnish Störvat, the woodstove heated hot tub for 10 (!) 45 degrees Celsius I nice when it freezes outside. We didn't jump into the large nearby swimming pool but used the snow to relax. And for the golf-aficionados: be aware that there is a 9-hole golf course at exactly 16 kilometers (check: With an excellent 1 Michelin star restaurant onsite. We discovered this region as amazing and attractive for all seasons. The grange is in my opinion much more than average equipped rental house: its beautiful and original. It would advise this to families and friends with a at least 8 persons that look for alternatives for Tuscany and Umbria

“All the comfort you can imagine in a very restful setting”

Reviewed 29 Mar 2012

We had a wonderful stay during 2 weeks in August in Le Suc. We were a group of 4 families, total of 8 adults and 10 kids (age 8-17) and found the house and outdoor layout to be very wll equiped for such a large and diverse group. If you enjoy the good life, mixed in with some great cooking and relaxed outdoor dining and wining, Le Suc is absolutely the right place to be. All modern comfort on the inside, many leisure options on the outside (large swimming pool & terras, 2 dining/relax terrasses, hot tub, BBQ area, ...). Loads of privacy. Surroundings brilliant for road/mountain biking.
