The property is situated in private land of 24 acres, and has approx 1/2mile of river frontage, 1mile from the nearest Hamlet, and 2 miles from the Village of St Priest la Feuille.
The owners have recently converted the Water Mill, and it may be possible to order a meal on arrival following that long journey.
|Further details outdoors|
We have made arrangements with a local lake to use all its facilities, this will not only provide excellent sport for the experienced fishermen pitting your skills against 30lbs plus carp, Sturgeon, and Trout, plus the novice fishermen will enjoy catching small carp, roach, etc.
The site has its own tackle shop, and equipment is exceptionally well priced. Bait is also available, and the proprietors are extremely helpful. 6 Euros will pay for an excellent days fishing, guarantee a good catch, in fantastic surroundings.
Horse Riding is a great asset to our complex. Lessons are available in the ménage, followed by the small treks in to the woods.
For the more experienced rider ½ day treks, picnics, and treks through our stunning country side are all available. We will also soon be opening our own full livery, so if you wanted to bring your own horse then this will be possible.
The river is also a favourite with families, as canoeing, boating, and just messing about in the river can be very enjoyable.
Complimentary Bottle of Wine and French Bread on arrival.
If owners are on site, then a meal available if required on arrival (At extra Cost).
The Limousin region
Limousin lies roughly in the centre of France and has preserved much of its natural beauty, it is renowned for its great feudal fortresses, renaissance chateaux, medieval towns and villages.
Limoge is famous for its China and Pocelain, and is well worth a visit.
The village of Oradour-sur-Glane where the whole population were massacred by the Germans in June 1944 has been saved as a remembrance, and a new village built 2kms south. Well worth a visit, it is very moving.
Several large lakes are within an hours drive, and provide Canoeing,sailing,fishing,water-skiing etc.
La Souterraine is a lively market town, and known as a pilgrims halt. Some parts of the medieval ramparts such as the massive portal of Saint-Jean still stand. The streets are lined with charming old houses, and the Church and the crypt should not be missed. Cobbled streets, and great cafes.
At Swiss Ocean in La Souterraine there is a great activities area for outdoor swimming in the Lake, excellent Tennis courts, a sandy beach, and areas for picnics, plus a restaurant (10 minutes from the accommodation)
Markets are held every Thursday and Saturday.
St Priest la Feuille only 5 minutes away has a local tabac for fresh bread, and has a excellent restaurant attached.

"Riverside Lets Rebeyrolle equals paradise"
Nestled by the bank of the river Gartempe this hidden gem is ideal for both couples and family holidays including family pets. A peaceful and tranquil setting, ideal for relaxation or for those more active, lots to do - fishing, canoeing, horseriding etc. We found our holiday paradise ideal for touring to such places as Limogue, Guret and the lovely towns and villages in the Le Creuse region.. The nearby town of Le Souterraine is ideal for local shopping, markets and has lots of history. We thoroughly recommend Riverside Lets, www.riversidelets.com, accommodation. The owners Peter & Helen have ensured all home comforts are provided not alone in the Gite but in all the other holiday accommodation which is very unique. Their attention to detail is second to none. We were sad to leave but are looking forward to our next holiday there in 2013. Just book and go...........
