Description

We can't wait to welcome you to our one-bed apartment, with shared garden & pool (Please note: the swimming pool is open from the end of May to mid September. If you’d like to check the specific dates it will be open against the dates of your stay, please get in touch): we know you'll have a fabulous time with us! Although we leave you to enjoy your stay without interruption, previous guests have become lifelong friends and we always love seeing people again when they return.

Light and airy home from home in great location, 15 mins walk from La Rochelle town centre, free WIFI, and TV. We generally rent by the week between June and mid-September. The apartment has its own garden table and chairs and own small barbecue.

Access to garden, shared swimming pool during summer months (open end May to mid Sept). Laundry free by negotiation (where we are present during your stay - we live next door to the apartments).

La Rochelle is the most attractive city on the West Coast of France. The Charente Maritime area enjoys a 'micro-climate' of temperatures similar to those on the South Coast of France, and the town centre is packed with markets, restaurants, historic architecture and summer attractions as well as a popular beach.

Our location is also a stone's throw - a short bike or bus ride - from the stunning Ile de Re with its great walks and bike rides, and beaches reminiscent of the Caribbean.

Bus stop right outside the residence with buses into town in 5 minutes, and linking to many other locations. No car necessary.

Airport 10 minutes/taxi.

Good range of local shops, supermarkets and bakeries 5 minutes' walk away, and a delicious organic food supermarket just across the road.

Property features: 1 double bedroom with double bed and wardrobe/storage, Shower room/toilet, lounge/kitchen...kitchen with 2 ring electric hob, fridge/freezer, microwave-and-oven combi, full range of cooking and dining wares and cutlery. Lounge with double sofa bed, TV/DVD.

DVDs and Books to read. Towels and linen provided.

We are happy to arrange to do washing for our guests when we are around. We'll happily do one full wash for free during your stay, and may ask for a donation for subsequent washes - get in touch if interested.

“A great holiday in La Rochelle.”

We have just experienced a first class holiday close to the centre of La Rochelle,on arrival we met our host Lorraine,after a long journey we immediately felt at home . The apartment was well stocked and we wanted for nothing,we barbecued and used the pool frequently

This apartment was a great find, the owners Lorraine & Jeremy were lovely & couldn't have done enough for us, they even picked me up when I ventured off walking & got myself lost! On arrival we were greeted by Lorraine & her daughter Ciara,(who ended up being the best of friends with my daughter Poppy!) Lorraine told us everything we needed to know about the area & the best supermarket to get some groceries, there is a huge superstore only 5minutes walk that does everything you need, the fishmongers is great if you want some fish to BBQ. The apartment was typical French style with everything we needed, we shared the pool with 2 other apartments & we formed a really lovely bond with both sets of people& had some great chats around the pool. La Rochelle harbour is a 20 minute walk through a lovely park, & has some great restaurants. We also cycled to ille de re over the bridge which was well worth the visit. Thankyou to Lorraine & Jeremy for a lovely week & we will definitely be returning.

How do damage deposits work?
