Enjoyable time relaxing in the countryside. Gite was small but nice with small welcome pack in the fridge. Owners live on site were helpful but not in your face. Definately need a car but very quiet country location to relax when touring.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking time to review our property, i would just like to add that the Pressoir is the name of one of our buildings only and our addresss is; La metairie de montlieu, Landrais, 17290, Charente Maritime, it is a small holding just outside the village of Landrais. Regarding the internet we think the reason you could not logon was because your security on you notebook was blocking it. Which is why it worked after you took off your security and reintroduced it on your notepad. Look forward to seeing you both again in the future.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your comments; I am sorry that the Pressoir did not reach your expectations. The private outside dining area is behind the fence next to your washing line, the reason you found the outside table and chairs outside the front door of the Gite is because all of our summer guests preferred it here to gain more sun and better views of the open fields. Our welcome talk on arrival is mainly to guide everybody to the facilities we offer and help everybody have a pleasant and safe holiday experience with us. Since opening the Pressoir in 2009 we have had over 150 family’s staying and we were very surprised at your comments of the twin bedroom as we have never had any complaints before, we do supply heaters when it does get cold out of the main summer season. The actual second door which does have a lock and key is also a fire escape and to gain access to the private eating area and washing line. We normally send our guests our full address, telephone number, sat. nav. Co-ordinates and a map of our positioning to Landrais, every body in Landrais knows where we are and we have a sign on the end of our lane on the main road saying “Montlieu Gites”. If you had spoken to us about any grievances while you were here we would have (like we always do) done our best to help you as much as possible. We are sorry that you did not find the Gite to your expectations and will look into seeing if it is possible to improve our already high standard.
