Description from owner
Description
Orchard House is one of two gites that have recently been refurbished. It is set in a small complex comprising the owners house
and two independent gites on a 5 acre site in the peaceful
hamlet of Puymangou in the Western Dordogne.
Set alongside the orchard the house is bright and modern with wonderful views to front and back.
The early morning sun streams into the front-facing rooms while in the
evening you can watch the sun setting to the rear of the property.
There is a spacious lounge/dining room, bright well-equipped kitchen
with a range cooker and dishwasher, a double and a twin/double bedroom plus a double sofa-bed in the lounge and a bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate shower unit. A travel cot is also available.
To the side of the house is a private patio area with outdoor seating and barbecue.
Outside there is a swimming pool and professional standard tennis
court and of course plenty of space to find a quiet corner to sit and
read, sketch or simply enjoy the tranquillity. We
also have several bicycles which can be borrowed to explore the
beautiful surroundings.
One of the original barns has been turned into a games room with pool
table, table football and dartboard - the perfect place to relax over a drink in the evening. The sunsets are quite spectacular and once the sun has set the night sky is ablaze with stars.

“Nice rural setting with great views”
Owners, Nick & Ann, very helpful, gite clean and tidy, beds comfortable, lovely surrounding views, games room great but advise to take own cues for pool table as supplied ones both badly worn but … More
Owner's reply: Thank you for your positive comments and pleased you had a good time - we also enjoyed having you to stay. We have noted the valid points re. the pool cues and these will be replaced before next season. Although the previous guests had mentioned problems with the bath when they left that morning there was not time during the short changeover period to investigate this properly but it is now being dealt with. With hindsight we should have remembered to mention this on arrival.
