Villa 40 Clos de Vignes on the Cote d'Azur, France is situated in the small village of La Mole just 14km from St Tropez and 12km from the nearest sandy beach, with an Aqua Park close by. La Mole is a small pretty village with three restaurants, including the renowned L'Auberge de La Mole, a boulangerie with bread baked from an old fashioned oven to give a lovely flavour and a small modern supermarket. Nearby in the town of Cogolin is a newly built LeClerc Hypermarket. Located on the edge of the mountains of Maures and facing the Gulf of St Tropez, nearby Cogolin is a welcoming place all year round. The 14th century clock tower, a vestige of the old fortified castle, overlooks the village, you can still see an ancient windmill. The St. Sauveur Church (early 15th c.) the St. Roch Chapel (17th and I9thc.), the vaulted passages, the houses with portals made of serpentine or volcanic rock are all witnesses of the long past of Cogolin. The lower village built around a cougoul (little hill) is typical with its wide airy streets. Across the Argens estuary the coast road continues past St Aygulf, Les Issambres, Ste Maxime and Port Grimaud at the foot of the Massif des Maures - home to wild tortoises and charming hill villages like Plan-de-la-Tour and La Garde-Freinet. These highlands hug the Golfe de St Tropez, sheltering its golden beaches. Offshore lies lovely Porquerolles, largest of the Iles d'Hyeres, accessible by boat from resorts like Cavalaire-sur-Mer, Le Lavandou and Hyeres. A car is essential at this property for full exploration of this fabulous region of South East France.

"Nice little house which is a good base from which to explore the area."
Pleasant accommodation and location. It was nice to be greeted by Nicola who was only a five minute phone call away. Personally I would have liked more information on bike rides and walks from the house not just tons of rather out of date info on commercial excusions etc. Eventually we discovered the really wonderful bike rides/walks up to La Mole damn and far into the fabulous hills surrounding us. Generally, the house gave us all we needed and we had a lovely holiday. Thankyou.
Thanks for your review, with reference to the out of date leaflets which I am unaware of and I am sorry you found this a reason to complain. I will ensure they are removed for next season. I ask my guests to add new ones or remove any that are no longer relevant. Although leaflets may be out of date they can be a useful reference point giving an idea of what sort of options are available in the region. As for bicycle rides and walks it is written that "For info on Bicycle hire and other options then our Manager Nichola can help out with up to date information. There is also a tourist information office in Cogolin but in late season it may be closed. I am pleased you eventually sourced the information you required.

"Good stay quiet location"
We stayed there for a week, the house was very clean and modern furnished to a very high standard. There was everything that you need to make your stay enjoyable. Access to the swimming pool was within a few metres. Good base in which to travel around the South of France. We couldn't recommend it highly enough.
