- Very Good
We spent a week in this beautiful villa in La Herradura in June 2015, and enjoyed it so much we are planning to return again next summer. The views from the terraces are stunning, as the house is situated on a hill overlooking the beautiful bay. The terraces provide some shade so all our meals could be enjoyed outdoors throughout the day, and it’s the perfect setting for watching the spectacular sunsets with a glass of wine. It is a very comfortable and well equipped house, with three lovely bedrooms and three bathrooms, and everything was very clean and modern. The kitchen has everything you need and if you like to cook you’ll love the excellent market in the town that opens early each morning, where all the locals get their meat, fish, vegetables etc. There’s a really good bakery too. There are plenty of lovely restaurants and bars also, that are full of Spanish locals and holidaymakers, so you won’t find any tourist menus here. And in comparison to the prices in the busier resorts on the Costa del Sol everything is so reasonable! If you want to experience an authentic, family-friendly Spanish holiday, with great beaches and great value, then this villa in La Herradura would be hard to beat.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your trip and hope to see you again soon. Many thanks, Carla
“Las Atarazanas, was a beautiful place to stay.”
The house was really clean and well looked after. There was even a washing machine and dishwasher, The house is situated in a beautiful complex where each house/apartment is different and the grounds and gardens were well tended and there were beautiful flowers everywhere. Location is good, with a short drive to a lovely beach with plenty of bars and restaurants and supermarkets. The town is very pretty and not too commercialised. We even tried diving at the local PADI centre along the beach front, which we would recomment too. Carla was very helpful and suggested restaurants and places to visit. The water park at Almencar is definetely a must if you have children, or not, its great fun. We had a fabulous holiday.
