The town centre is less than a 5 minute drive away which offers a number of excellent restaurants, bars, shops with watersports available on the beach. Casa Azul is an extremely spacious townhouse on three floors..The property comprises a large living / dining room with spacious sun terrace, fully fitted kitchen, 2 large double bedrooms one with with en suite and the other with a private terrace, one twin bedroom and a separate family bathroom. Also a cloakroom with toilet and wash hand basin..A private large garage will ensure that you car is secure.

Welcome pack on arrival
Large living room / dining room with access onto spacious terrace with superb sea and mountain views. Inside, a dining room table and 4 chairs with two leather sofas.
Satelite TV (including all free to air channels), DVD player and Hi fi stereo system.
There is a good selection of books, games and DVDs.
An i-pod docking station is provided for your own favourite music..
Outside, enjoy soaking up the sunshine on the loungers or dine in the comfort of the shade the pergola provides.
Fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops and integrated appliances including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hob, oven, fridge/ freezer and toaster, kettle and plenty of cooking utensils and crockery etc. Patio doors allow access onto the main terrace.
Bedroom 1 with kingsize bed and en suite (with bath / shower over etc). Patio doors with juliet balcony and sea views.
Bedroom 2 with kingsize bed and patio doors to private large terrace with sea views.
Bedroom 3 with 2 twin beds. Family bathroom with bath / shower over, toilet, bidet.
Separate WC/ clockroom.
There is an extra large family bedroom an bathroom with a king size bed and bunk beds which is used for family visits and normally kept locked, there is a possibility this could be made available if needed to sleep an extra 4 people at an extra cost.
All principal rooms have fans although the house keeps naturally cool even in the hot summer months. Electric heaters are available in the winter months at no extra cost if required.
The house is well equipped for babies we have a cot, high chair, baby monitor, play mat and some toys.

Further details outdoors

The large terrace has a wooden table and chairs shaded under a beautiful pergola, with an additional parasol if required. Also there are sun loungers upon which you can relax and enjoy the superb views.
A second, smaller private terrace is off bedroom 2 and has a small table with 2 chairs which is fantastic for a quiet relaxed read.
The communal pool area, which is a 2 minute walk from the house, has a large shaped pool and children's pool with stunning panoramic views. The sunbathing area is grassed which is brilliant for kids as it is not slippy and they won't burn their feet! Complimentary sun loungers and parasols are available. There are also 2 paddle tennis courts adjacent to the pool area.
You can also access the national park for woodland walks from the house.
The large bay of La Herradura provides all kinds of water sports and is just 5 minutes drive from Los Altos. Unspoilt beaches usually with a beach bar are within a few kilometres. Marina Del Este is just a 10 minute drive as is Nerja and Almunecar. Golf courses are a 30 minute drive at Salobrena, and Velez Malaga.

The Andalucia region

La Herradura is within the Costa Tropical which gets its name because its sub-tropical climate averaging over 300 days of sunshine a year with very mild winters (usually able to wear a short sleeved shirt in February during the day!)
Virtually all activities are available within 1 hour's drive of the house including , sailing, jet skiing, horse riding, , skiing, mountain biking and walking etc.:For the more adventurous, there is a scuba diving school on the beach, paragliding nearby and a waterpark in Almunecar. There are several golf courses within a half hour drive. Almunecar, with its pretty, cobbled streets and numerous boutique shops, is a 15 minute drive to the east and La Herradura itself of course.
The pretty seaside town of Nerja is only a 20 minute drive away, visit the famous Nerja Caves. Also well worth a visit is the hilltop while village of Frigilliana, again only about 25 minutes drive.
The Costa Tropical has 19kms of rugged coastline with lots of coves and beautiful bays, there is also 26 different beaches with excellent facilities, all set against a backdrop of majestic mountains.
In the winter months it's possible to sunbathe in the morning and to ski in the afternoon, you can even ski through the night at weekends, the Solynieve ski resort and village is only just over an hours drive away, the resort boasts 61 kms of ski slopes, 45 pistes and 6 off piste routes, other facilities there include bars, restaurants, shops and hotels.
A visit to the world famous UNESCO world heritage Alhambra Palace is a must, finish off with a walk round the beautiful cosmopolitan city of Granada, which is an hours drive away.
Other cities of great interest within easy reach are Malaga and Almeria, with Seville and Cordoba near enough to go for the day.

La Herradura

The local coastline contains numerous secluded beaches (including a naturist beach!) which has been likened to that of the famous Amalfi Coast.The sea around La Herradura is crystal clear and is renound for excellent scuba diving, offered by the local padi school. Windsurfing, canoeing, sailing are also available on he beach.

La Herradura has an abundance of excellent restaurants serving freshly caught fish of the day with a charming atmosphere and authentic Spanish tapas bars. It also has a daily market selling local produce, banks, chemist, local food stores etc.
