In the village there is a post office, bank and cash point and a couple of small supermarkets for everyday essentials. There is a wonderful twice weekly market on a Sunday and Wednesday selling fresh, local produce including dried meat, cheeses, oils and cooked chicken as well as clothes and jewellery. There are also festivals and fetes throughout the year.La Garde Freinet is surrounded by cork and chestnut forests and you will be spoilt for places to visit, the local wineries just up the road for example are well worth the visit for the avid wine enthusiast. There is an excellent tourist information office in the town which can help you with an questions about the area- www.lagardefreinet-tourisme.com
