The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region

The Portes du Soleil is a huge linked ski area, made up of 13 resorts over 2 countries, France and Switzerland.
You could ski a different resort every day of your holiday or tour as many of the different areas as you can fit into one day.
There are 650 km of pistes from very easy green runs to very hard black runs as well as snow parks and half pipes.

In the summer the area has a great deal to offer:
Walking on the miles of mountain paths; the chair lifts and cable cars allow you to gain height relatively painlessly.
Mountain biking on the cross country and downhill trails.
Waterparks - wonderful open air and indoor pool in Morzine, with children's pools, and waterslides, Aquariaz aqua park in Avoriaz, swimming lakes with sunbathing areas and life guards In Les Gets and at Lake Montriond .
Golf on the excellent courses in Avoriaz and Les Gets.
White water rafting on the rapids of the river Dranse
Horse Riding at the riding centres in Morzine or Les Gets.
Tennis
Paragliding; enjoy the views from a bird's eye view point.
Sight seeing and excursions: Chamonix, Annecy, Evian are all easily accessible for a day out.

La Cote-d'Arbroz

The chalet is situated in La Cote d'Arbroz, a quiet, traditional Savoyard village, which has a friendly bar/restaurant where you can also order your bread and croissants each day.
The chalet offers peace, quiet and unspoilt views, yet it is close to Morzine and Les Gets with their numerous shops, restaurants & lively bars.
For winter holidays, you can't get much better than the Portes du Soleil and it is just 5 minutes drive from the chalet to the Les Gets Mont Chry lifts and a 10 minute drive to Morzine Pleney/Super Morzine lifts or to Ardent, where lifts take you to Chatel, to Avoriaz or into Switzerland.
In the summer there are loads of activities on offer for a fantastic holiday: mountain biking, road biking, mountain walks, swimming, golf, tennis.... or you can just sunbathe by the lake.
You can take advantage of the excellent value Multipass which gives access to these activites at an incredible price of 2 euros a day!

“It just doesn't get better!”

A beautiful chalet in an idyllic mountain village just a couple of km from the facilities in Morzine. The chalet is beautiful with stunning views and all home comforts (not to mention the jacuzzi bath and the gym downstairs!) and Carole and Andy are extremely thoughtful and unobtrusive hosts. The addition of the multi-pass provision this year was an absolute bonus and allowed us daily access to the ski lifts and swimming pool. If you're looking for first class accommodation in a breath-taking location, with walks, lakes and outdoor activities on your doorstep, then it doesn't get better than this. We've been back twice now and will find it hard to stay anywhere else!

What a wonderful holiday we had in Chalet Abroz.. The chalet had everything we could ask for and more. The landlords were so hlepful and went the extra mile to make our holiday great. We really hope to go back. Situation idyllic. Beautiful views and peaceful. Morzine very near by. Amazing range of things to do in the area - even when it rains!
