From the owner

La Pomme d'Or means the Golden Apple. In the eighteenth and nineteenth century La Pomme d'Or was a humble farm.

Today the property consists of three buildings - The Guesthouse, The Stable and The Gatehouse. The oldest building is The Guesthouse. It is a charming rustic house where the farmer lived with his family. The Stable is the original barn. It has been converted into a modern studio. The Stable also houses a small art gallery, which we call The Barn. The Gatehouse is a nineteenth century addition to the property.

The Guesthouse is the largest of our available accommodation. It is a spacious 120 square metres and sleeps up to nine guests. There is a cosy and roomy kitchen totally renovated in spring 2014. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, an induction hob and an oven, refrigerator /freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker and all other essential cooking and dining items. There is also a washing machine in the kitchen. For cosy dining there is a big dining table and chairs and a woodburning stove.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Peter (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
