Les Noyers is a beautiful restored farmhouse with 1 double and 2 twin bedded rooms with 2 showers rooms. There is a lounge with the original oak beams and Charantese stone fireplace with the original tiled floor. A wooden staircase leads to the three bedrooms and shower room. The heated pool is situated in the private grounds of Les Noyers and enjoys the sunshine all day long, and is for the sole use of our guests.

The house is ideally suited for those who wish to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Or if you prefer there are plenty of activities for all ages not too far away. The monkey sanctuary and Futuroscope are both very popular with families. Kayaking and canoeing are also very popular at Moussac, 15 minutes drive away.

The Lounge features original oak beams and Charentese stone fireplace with the original tile floor. T.V. (English or French) DVD. Playstation 2 with games. Wooden staircase leading to 3 bedrooms (1 x double and 2 x twins) and shower room. The double bedroom has original wood flooring with views over the pool, terrace and gardens. 2nd & 3rd Bedrooms have twin beds. Original oak beams.

Large open plan Kitchen/Dining Room with ample units for storing china,glasses and cooking equipment. There is a fridge/freezer, electric oven and halogen hob, and Microwave. A large table and chairs for 6 people with views of the garden and pool area. The kitchen leads to a utility room with washing machine, fitted cupboards and stainless steel sink unit for washing out your swim wear at the end of the day. This leads through to the downstairs shower room and toilet.

Enjoy a BBQ with a glass of wine in the garden at the end of an enjoyable day soaking up the last rays of the days sunshine. The 8 x 4 m heated pool is 1.25 m deep all over and is situated in the rear garden with safety fence all around.

There are six loungers and cushions for your comfort whilst sun bathing. There is a Volley Ball/Badminton net, Swing Ball and Boules set. Selection of Bicycles available (adult and teenagers). Table and chairs for 6 people with umbrella.

The Poitou-Charentes region

The department of the Vienne is situated in the Poitou-Charentes region of Western France set between the Chateauxs of the Loire Valley and the Bordeaux Vineyards. The climate is the second sunniest region of France after the South of France.

L' Isle Jourdain is considered one of the most beautiful sites in the Vienne Valley. The viaduct is now used for walks and bungee jumping.

Civray lies on the banks of the Charente. The town sprang up around the 12th Century Saint-Nicolas Church You can enjoy a panoramic view of the town and church from the ruins of the fortified castle. Civray offers walks along the Charente.

Confolens is the capital of the Charente-Limousin approximately 30 minutes from Limoges.

Limoges is the administrative capital of the Limousin region. It is known worldwide for its medieval enamels, its 19th century porcelain and for its oak barrels which are used in the production of Cognac.

Montmorillon is a quiet yet busy town in Poitou-Charentes, south of the Loire Valley. It has a pretty old quarter, with churches and chapels.

Poitiers is a town on the Clain River. It is a commune and the capital of the Vienne department and of the Poitou-Charentes region. The town is picturesque with interesting streets and architecture.


Les Noyers is situated in a quiet Hamlet, in the beautiful Vienne countryside, just five minutes from the River Vienne where you can swim or go canoeing. The lovely village of Queaux is 5 minutes away where you will find a Bar Tabac and Restaurant, a Boulangerie which makes wonderful baguettes and a Boucherie for your meat. The market towns of Lussac-les-Chateaux and L'Isle-Jourdain are a short drive away for your main Supermarkets.

You will also find a good selection of Bars and Restaurants and the local Tourist Offices. The bustling city of Poitiers is 45 minutes away and a further 10 minutes away is Futuroscope, a theme park dedicated to the moving image (Cinema), enjoyed by young and old alike.The market town of L'Isle Jourdain is situated on the river Vienne where you will find a good selection of Bars & Restaurants. In the centre of the town you will find Shops, Banks, Pharmacists and Tourist Information Centre.

The beautiful Via Duct can be seen from the bridge approaching L'Isle Jourdain where you can walk across the River and take in the spectacular views. There is also 'Bungy Jumping' from the Via Duct (not for the faint hearted).
