Whole family with six grandchildren, (9 to 16) two of whom said it was their best holiday ever. The bikes were well used, as was the pool. As it was an Olympic week we also made good use of the television! The garden had plenty of shady places, and furniture as well as a good size bbq.. The only drawback was lack of local places to eat. The nearest place was only open at weekends. All in all a great time was had by all.

We had an excellent holiday, the accomodation was as described which was perfect for us as a large family. The French people where very helpful and accommodating. We shopped at Hyper U in Fontenay le Comte and found the prices very reasonable. The pool was well used by all the family. We went to the La Coussette bar one evening in St Martin (which was about 2 kms away we thought it was just a little too far to walk,especially with young children) and found the staff very friendly. This gave us an opportunity to try their local speciality of snails (tasted like mushrooms). Considering there was fourteen of us that turned up unannounced they coped very well but would prefer it if we had prebooked. The men folk tried a couple of local activites karting and parc aventure (well actually two of the females in our party also did the parc aventure), in Mervent (like Go Ape in England) which was thoroughly enjoyed, parc aventure had a French guide that could speak English quite well. We also went to La Rochelle and visited the Aquarium, which was excellent. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time the only down fall was the weather which could have been a little better, we would recommend the accommodation and we would use it again. We travelled down in a minibus trying not to use the toll roads, however they are much quicker and better as we found on the return journey, using the euro tunnel in both directions which was excellent.

The Mill is a great space for large groups of friends like we were. It was completely kitted out with everything we needed from saucepans to irons, bicycles to DVDs! The guys who own the house are incredibly helpful and really want you to have the best time. The village is very quiet with just a bakery, pharmacy, mini-supermarket etc. but the Mill has plenty of things to keep you entertained. The only slight problem is that it is an hour away from the airport and so taxi's are quite expensive so I would recommend driving. We would definitely return here, thank you for a wonderful holiday!

We stayed at The Mill in June and had a fantastic time! We chose The Mill because of its rural location and we were not disappointed. The Millhouse was brilliant for 13 of us and we made good use of the pool which was lovely, the garden was great for the kids to just run around and they loved the bikes too!! There’s plenty of outdoor tables and chairs and we used the 2 bbq's most evenings. We didn’t venture out much as there were lots of outdoor toys to keep the kids entertained. The supermarket in Fontenay was very big and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay at The Mill so much that we are returning next year!!

We booked Thue as we wanted to follow the tour de france while it was in the Vendee. As there were 16 of us in total, including teenagers, under 10's and a baby, we wanted somewhere large with a pool for the kids. Thue was perfect. The pool and table tennis was loved by all and the older members of the party loved the peace of the lovely grounds. The Mill itself was well appointed and the washing machine in use daily! How nice to not go home with a pile of washing. The bbq was on every night and we all sat around the big garden tables. The supermarket in Fontenay was excellent and very reasonable and the local bakery (within walking distance) was great for baguettes and croissants. Thankyou for a fantastic holiday.
