Location description from owner

The Turkish Aegean Coast region

The town that introduced tourism to Turkey... and which has now become one of the friendliest beach resorts in Turkey. Beaches, nature and culture are all here in abundance. Once you rent a holiday home nearby Ku?adasi, you will never want to leave
The climate in Ku?adasi is ideal:
Ku?adasi has a typical Mediterranean climate with its warm summers and mild winters. Ku?adasi has an average of 300 days of sun per year. It is always a few degrees cooler here than on the south coast of Turkey. This ensures a more pleasant stay, especially in the summer. Ku?adasi is also a wonderful place to spend some time in the winter.

Kusadasi

There are numerous places of historical interest close to the holiday villa, starting with the famous Efeze. Take a horse and carriage to the top of the mountain and enjoy the benefit of having a(n English speaking) guide. Imagine yourself in the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Did you know that this was once the location of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World?
Another beautiful place of interest is located 25 km from Ku?adasi: The Greek wine producing village of Sirince, a name taken from the Turkish word “sirin”, which means "lovely”. This is an ancient Greek orthodox village. Here you can experience the Greek culture right in the middle of Turkey. The Greeks vacated the village in 1920 following the exchange agreement between Greece and Turkey following the War of Independence. This is a great place for walks and trying some of the local wine.
Didyma is about 75 km from Ku?adasi, and is famous both for its temple and its oracle. This temple, dedicated to Apollo, was the most splendid and the largest of the Ionian temples in Anatolia. In Priene, a town on the road to to Didyma, you can imagine what it was like to live in the time of the ancient Greeks. Priene is about 25 km from your holiday home and is certainly worth a visit, if only to visit the Temple of Athena which is situated at the highest point in the town. This town is also home to the Stadium, the Prytanion, the Temple of Demeter and Persephone, the Bouloterion, the Gymnasium and the Amphitheatre.
You will find a folder in the villa which includes a number of tips for excursions to the various places of historical interest in the area.

All of the villas offered by Saray Holidays in Ku?adasi have sea views and look out to the Greek island of Samos. Some of the villas are situated amongst the hills, while others are somewhat closer to the town centre. The Milli Park, the Turkish National Park, is only a 15-minute drive away. An area of unspoiled nature on the Turkish coast can be found on the Dilek peninsula. Enjoy the peace, clean beaches and magnificent forests. This is a fantastic place for walking when you follow the designated walking routes. Please note: take adequate water with you during the summer! There is no need to be afraid, but you will probably see the occasional wild boar (they are simply curious!).
The beautiful sights of Pamukkale are approximately a two hours' drive from the holiday home. This exceptional natural phenomenon with its limestone terraces is more than worth the visit. Pamukkale means in Turkish “cotton castle" and it can be found to the north of Denizli. The highly calciferous water flows across the numerous terraces that have formed on the slopes. The warm water (35°) is rich in calcium carbonate which forms thick deposits of lime across the terraces. The water at Pamukkale is said to possess healing properties and to help fight asthma and rheumatism.
Pamukkale is currently a tourist area and together with the nearby ancient town of Hierapolis is included on the list of UNESCO world heritage sites.
